HANDS UP from them who're HAPPY with their Audi RS3 and/or any other car for that matter

Now my 2011 Audi RS3, BLUEY, is a superb motor car with few if any faults over 4-years of ownership - the only ones being low-speed brake squeal and that's all sorted thank you.

I love the car!  It does everything Audi said it would and more so no complaints and for sure BLUEY will be staying with me/us for some time yet.

BUT, we have a 2010 Audi TT roadster also, SANDY.  She has all quattro bells and DSG whistles and we just love the car; she's had zero faults/issues in our ownership and does everything Audi said it would and more: SANDY will be staying with us for some time.

BUT, but: we also have a 2005 90bhp diesel Audi A2, SUZY: purchased for specific hospital duties and again a seriously fabulous motor car.  OK, purchasing at 81K miles with numerous owners but FULL Audi Service I knew I'd have to get the car prepared to my own satisfaction, and have; and now it's a comfortable, economical, reliable and fun motor car with zero faults and/or issues and again it does everything Audi said it would and more: SUZY will also be staying with us for some time, period.

My point: there is so much writ (including this RS3OC forum) about BAD Audi/VW experiences I just thought there may be an opportunity for someone, anyone, me (?) to express some GOOD experiences and SATISFACTION with the products I've purchased.

Now I'm someone who believes in a simple principle that if you don't like it move on, buy something else, but for f**k sake stop kicking the product you have and m o a n i n g continuously about the fact that here's a basket case.

I've 3-Audi products and L O V E 'em for exactly what they were designed to do but for sure, if I thought them as BAD as reported, I'd be off elsewhere...

BLUEY, SANDY, and SUZY, am ACE!

But the day they ain't they'll be gone...

Hi ,

I see you point and so far, 5 days into ownership I love thee RS3 for a number of reasons and haven't had that in a car for a while.

But you have to remember that 90% of things posted in forums are usually about faults because the first thing people do when they get a fault is google it and then ask on a forum to see if they can get an answer or reassurance before they take their car to a dealers.

Unless your just a forum kind of guy and like chatting to like minded people

I love mine, too look at to drive everything.
Although the forum makes them out to be bad I think most people would be content if dealers would fix any faults that arise.
On a RS3 forum your only going to hear about faults as hardly anybody posts saying how fault free their car is as it's what we expect.
I doubt you'd find another car that looks and performs not to mention the buzz you get when driving that the RS3 gives.

And John don't forget
attachicon.gifimage.jpeg

That's sooooo wrong to remind me, John; sooooo wrong.    :(

BUT, I'm always trying to be 'UP' .  And while the RS7 is a worthy/tasty/fun tool for me it's just, well it's just, I mean it's just, another Audi.  And in my heart-of-hearts I would NOT do a straight swap of BLUEY for an RS7; any RS7, or RS4/5/6/7 etc.; and man that's me being honest!  I DO like my 8P RS3 warts and all...    :3:  And I'll be keeping it; I just wish others were as content.

Well John, I cannot comment about the RS3 as yet (that will be in the next month!) But I have had my VW (dirty word here??l!) Scirocco R for four years and at the beginning of its life it had two small faults (flickering daytime running light and a vacuum pipe, both replaced under warranty). None of those have detracted from the fact it is an awesome car, very good looking thing, plenty fast enough in the real world. Comfy enough to drive from Poland to Fort William in a 'oner', and then last year from Poland to Monaco via Vienna and Venice. Handles very well when i am alone, the only real gripe i have with it is that the stability control system can be turned off, but automatically switches back on if it senses a slide. Not so good in the snow when i want some fun! Such a good car, in fact, it is being kept when the RS3 arrives!

I am hoping to go for another road trip next year (normally do one every two years) from Poland to Croatia via the Transilvanian mountains and the Transfagarasson Pass in the RS3. Should be a little bit epic (as long as the Mrs doesn't get too bored!!).

Also have a little VW Up which has also been faultless for three years. Amazing little car that still gives 45-50mpg even when i am driving it like a loon (though, obviously, not that fast, officer!). This will be sold though when the RS3 arrives...

I ran a 1971 Lotus Elan for 35-years and most people would not have driven one to the south coast let alone the south of France where we took of 5-times, hello:

I do love a road trip. You see so much more of the world that way! Well... Europe anyway...!

When I first moved across from the UK to Poland I had a £250 Rover 418SLD Turbo. Old piece of c**p but the darned thing never let me down! Sold it in Poland for parts for more than I bought it for.

As I said in my post Sean if the car developed an issue and went to the dealer and came out fixed (in a reasonable timescale) we'd all be happy.
