Aw ok thanks Styxz - I didn't realise QST was closed and thought it may have been someone else handling the forum input. Kim informed me last month that the 8V S3 M-Cantronic couldn't be reprogrammed for the RS3 but the QST poster above says it can!

 

I'm so confused - in Audi tuner it did say the RS3 M-Cantronic was still being developed so maybe this is a new development - fingers crossed!

Kim has the m-cantronic in his car, and I have had it since end of Nov. It had been out just a very short while before then and MTM dropped the price by about 700 quid just as I had mine installed which made my decision as I was still in two minds as I was driving up to QST!

I don't know which I'd go for to be honest mate the car don't arrive for 4 months and it wouldn't be something I'd do straight away, I think it would come down to my long term plans for the car I am toying with the idea of keeping this one long term but I'm also thinking about upgrading to something like an RS5 after, I would ask the guys on here like Sully and Pat who seem like they know their stuff on tuning

ayup bramosh - the wife has an RS5 - and I think it drives like tank compared to my RS3.
Big heavy car, and in my view a bit cumbersome.
Doesn't handle anything like as good as the 3.
Really sexy looking car though, and an awesome engine. You think the 3 is thirsty though

My Dad had an S5 when they were first released and I fell in love with it, I like the big cars sexy and sleek, I almost bought a A7 3.0TDI Black, Black Edition which is a beautiful beast was drooling over that when popped into the dealer the other day, immense interior, changed my mind and bought the RS3 for the raw power with 4 doors, never had a petrol before only diesel so had to experience it. When I get rid of the RS it will be for something like the A7 or A5 preferably the RS versions but if the wife has her way it could be Q5/Q7 .

Had nothing but great service from Kim. It just seems that QST is a bit of a one man band and all the knowledge is with Kim and he cant do everything.

 

Definitely fitting springs though QST is too far to go.

 

I'll hope to fit a M-Cantronic (if I can confirm if my hardware is reprogrammable). If not i'll try the DTUK stuff unless I can sell my 8VS3 MTM

Would the headlights need adjusting after the drop? With them being LED not sure how the lowering springs will affect the lights?

Apparently not. I noticed no difference in the headlights on the way home.

"lack of "oomph"" in the standard car  ha, ha can't say I've noticed it! 436hp must be noticeable though
