I'm already planning it Roy
I've changed phone numbers and moved house so Audi can't find me when they want it back

From what I can see P_G we would need 22 mm from inside disc face to the face of the hub mount (that the bracket bolts to)
So it's 17.5 for bracket thickness and 4.5/5mm gap between disc and mounting bracket

I've done this by centralising the 8 pot on the RS disc, then placing the bracket on the caliper.

The 2 bracket to hub mounting nuts are 55mm long.

Will soon find out, all scheduled for fitting on the 22nd with new pads front and rear, new braided lines and some other additions to the car. Looks like my calipers will be here on Monday and hopefully the brackets later in the week going by the delivery time you had.

BKS have given me the bolt dimensions which are essentially R8 caliper mounting bracket bolts.

Calipers are here, they are proportionately some size when off the car. Just waiting for the mounting brackets which are now somewhere in the UK, so hopefully tomorrow or Friday for those.

C,mon.. Someone hurry up and fit these to a car will ya!

Sean can't you pop over to that long stay car park where Audi have left your car for the last few months whilst pretending to fix it. Take your spare keys, fit the callipers take it for a test drive and let us know how they are before dropping it back.

Audi will never miss it for a few hours  :D

Brackets have arrived, ready to rhumble. I wondered how BKS justified the price however they are sizeable precision German engineering mono block machined pieces.

They felt heavier, haven't put them on the scales. So that's approx. 7kgs per side as IIRC the package weight of the calipers was 12kgs. I wonder how heavy the OEM set up is and how much unsprung mass I'm adding?

The calipers I didn't weigh but they felt pretty light for their size to me.

Aparantly approx 0.5 kg per corner.

'After much trial & error (not to mention spend) he retained his TT-RS 370mm OEM discs and added the RS4/8-pot caliper which only added 0.5kg weight per corner (for those interested in weight issues).'

Yeah that's one of the threads I read before taking the plunge......

I don't know why Audi didn't put them on in the first place.

I didnt think there was anything wrong with the oem callipers?

It's the pads that cause the noise and the pad friction surface fixing rivets that trash the discs.

Is there any guaruntee the pads available for those lovely 8 pots will be any different ?

After driving the 8V there is a huge and I mean huge difference Between the 8 pots and the 4 s on our cars
To me the difference was a lot more confidence inspiring.

I am watching with interest.
I ran Porsche Big reds for years on my modified S3's, so not adverse to the benefits, although I don't miss the costs!
I wonder if the 8V master cylinder arrangement is sized/ ported differently to suit, which might also affect how they feel to the user.

Do you think the OEM discs will deal with the 8 pots well I'd be worried they'd heat the chocolate discs or maybe 8 pots wont have to work as hard and generate as much heat as the 4 pots I have no idea.

Also found these though that look interesting PPH RS3 brake cooling ducts;
