Do they fit with 8Jx19 wheels and standard RS3 Discs rather than TTRS ones? The BKS ones need 3mm shims to allow the rotor alloy arms to clear the new callipers. it would be handy to have a set of brackets that don't need shims.

Price?

I thought that these discs worked with the RS3 disc, are they not the same size as the tt rs ones ?

One last question, I am using bbs wheels 8.5 wide with a 48 offset would I still need a shim? I'm thinking I'll be ok

If you read their site it does say a shim may be required. 8.5J rims would be fine, 8J I'm not so sure

I can confirm 8.5j rims will clear the bigger caliper

But that has Mk2 (8V) rims on it as well. Looks like they changed the discs &I wheels. No reason why you can't as they are the same size discs the only thing I didn't know is if they has a different offset that the 8P discs to suit the 4 pot calliper but I guess they must be the same as well. OK so I know what discs I will be buying next time then as the mk2 ones will be slightly lighter with the scollops cut out.

The MK 1 8J rim doesn't clear the bigger 8 pot caliper unless using a 3mm spacer or using 8.5J front rims.

The MK 2 has slight offset difference and the back of the spokes are flatter.

Sorry T-800 I was referring to the offset of the brake disc but have realised that wasn't very clear on my post. I have been wondering if the 8V disc had the same offset as the 8P ones so we're a direct swap and could be used with the 8P 4 pot calliper. However looking at the photo on Autotrader again it looks like the car Sonny found also has the 8pot calliper a fitted as well so I still don't know.

Do you know the offset of the MK 2 wheels thinking of new brakes and wheels?

John the 8j is 49mm and the 8.5j is 53mm

Thanks.

So 1mm difference in offset and flatter spokes allows fitment of 8 pots to the 8V without spacers ... What's clearance like and can you fit 18's for winter it sounds tight.
