But that has Mk2 (8V) rims on it as well. Looks like they changed the discs &I wheels. No reason why you can't as they are the same size discs the only thing I didn't know is if they has a different offset that the 8P discs to suit the 4 pot calliper but I guess they must be the same as well. OK so I know what discs I will be buying next time then as the mk2 ones will be slightly lighter with the scollops cut out.
The MK 1 8J rim doesn't clear the bigger 8 pot caliper unless using a 3mm spacer or using 8.5J front rims.
The MK 2 has slight offset difference and the back of the spokes are flatter.

So 1mm difference in offset and flatter spokes allows fitment of 8 pots to the 8V without spacers ... What's clearance like and can you fit 18's for winter it sounds tight.
