I've started to get all the symptoms of a failed Haldex pump: wheelspin, poor performance, jerky gear changes and additionally I get the smell of burning clutch when using full manual changes and driving hard. I've scanned the car but there are no error codes but there is definitely symptoms of a pump failure.

Has anyone else had the situation that VCDS doesn't report an error but Audi have confirmed Haldex pump failure when they have checked the car?

I have extended warranty but I really don't want Audi to tell me there is nothing wrong with it if I put it in for them to check if all they are going to do is scan it and then charge me for diagnostics.

With mine there were no faults logged. Test drive confirmed no rear wheel drive and diagnosed by engineer

I too had extended warranty so just the £250 excess.

My local dealer is pretty good and wouldnt charge me for diagnositics until they had found and solved the fault.

I've joined he 2 wheel drive RS3 club now!
Didn't realise how much the rear was used especially in these wet conditions.
Oh well at least it's still in warranty.

I've got the situation of having Haldex pump logged on VCDS and then when taken to Audi they've said nothing's on the system. This has happened twice now. Think they just reset the car to avoid any replacement

That's mine and it comes back within a day or two when deleted.
The traction light flashes at junctions and even when dropping a couple of gears to overtake!
It's a bloody nightmare.

I know what you mean Sean
I went to overtake and when I went it was all over the place!
It was that bad it felt like the car was going to go sideways!
Let's say the wife wasn't happy and said its not safe.

No wait, scratch that....... It'll just empty your pockets like the TT did to me although there's a certain satisfaction in fixing things yourself

What's going on with the mileage in Marshy and JayRS3 VCDS screen shots.

The same fault, same frequency of occurrences @ the exact same mileage?
