Discovered this morning that Audi have put a recall out already! (Thought it's not that uncommon on a brand new model to be fair)

Dealer has said that the car is not to be driven!

It should be sorted in only a couple of days though. Couldn't get any more details but with that estimate it sounds like they already know the issue and it's easily solved.

Anyone able to get more details please share!

Maybe they have realised Nardo is actually primer and they forgot to paint the cars.

Sorry Roy if I took your thunder on the Anti Nardo lobby. As you say Nardo is the devils work or the same color Ford used to spray their Escort vans in the 70's.

It's reminding me of the S1 - which had an issue on RHD cars with the clutch pipe getting too hot next to the turbo (Top Gear blew it up on their test which triggered the recall). The solution was a bit of tin foil carefully placed in the engine bay!

I imagine this is something similar, and wouldn't surprise me if it was RHD only as of course LHD cars get a lot more testing due to the origin of the car.

Hope it's sorted by Thurdsday afternoon as i've got my test drive booked in! Plus at least it's a recall before customers get theirs.

RS3 - Mugello Blue Pearl, Dynamic package, Body coloured & folding door mirrors, High-gloss black styling package, Privacy glass, Advanced Key, Super sports seats (Black with contrasting stitching in Rock grey) with RS 3 embossing, Titanium matt finish alloys.

No update or recall on the system for my dealers 8V RS chassis number..

I'm seriously thinking of goin' 911; all of this problematic 8V RS3 poo is wearing me down as its just De ja bl**dy vou for most of us 8P guys

Fancied a 911 ever since I'd a side-window-steering 930 for a day; and the thought of a modern 911 is now starting to jingle me wotsits way more than an 8V RS3; and unlike an RS7 a 911 will fit the garage nicely...

Well I've had an email today from my dealer to say my test drive is off tomorrow until car is fixed. All dealers have received an email from Audi to tell them not to test drive the RS3 until dealers have updated the car with 2 parts, which they can't order till this Friday as they're out of stock (no suprise there then).

Gutted, but at least it's now rather when customer get theirs.
