The interesting thing though was he offered me a Sepang one there and then ! It was on site at another dealership in the Inchcape group.......

It definitely had Sports exhaust & mag ride as well.

So not a demo model and hence can be sold without the 90 day holding period?

His words were 'it's available and showing as on site'
We were looking at the Inchcape order system
He went through what options were on it.

I could see all the Inchcape orders on the screen along with the status, on site, in transit and build week.
Seemed to be mainly Sepang, Red, and black orders on their system.

I'm betting this new RS is going to look great in Catalunya Red.

The start up noise alone on the one I looked at today is making this car very tempting

The only time the MK 1 makes that sort of noise is when you put it into LC mode and its holding the Revs in readiness

Interesting reading - just thinking that for anyone who's seriously looking there could be a queue jumping opportunity if the spec is acceptable. Possibly even a deal to be done as that car will be on their balance sheet.

Big dealer network Inchcape, my first Audi came from one of their dealerships.

I've found out about the two cars on pistonflaps from Cambridge Audi.  They were a couple of build slots that they secured in addition to their customer orders, so they aren't demo cars or cancelled customer cars.  Both are now sold.
