Again a passing of a personal opinion without knowing individuals circumstances and let's face it if it makes someone happy then why shouldn't they spend their money how they want to without being labelled mad....depreciation and monthly cost suits my business and its profile I pay out for 4 company cars in addition to my own cars that cost silly money but are needed and it would be silly to even attempt to find the capital to fund them........ What I'm doing myself personally is mad I'll hold my hand up to that but a car build has been on my bucket list for years and at my age with health issues then F### itWell I'm not worried about losing money on either PCP, outright purchase or the thick end of the depreciation curve
I'll be sticking with my mk1 for a few years = £0 outlay and £0 per month.
I can invest my £50, pocket all the returns and still enjoy 97% of the performance and fun of a mk2.
Then I'll buy one of your cars for £25k when you've got bored with it and moved on to the next money pit Audi tempt you with.
£25k loss over 3 years, you must be mad !
Hey If you don't want chuck money away into a deep pit and build capital don't have kids and be wary of marriage....have cars instead 😄😄😄😄lol

On the ownership argument, well even on a PCP deal you are still the owner on the V5 - just that there is an associated financial agreement with it.

Daytona way to common! all through the A3 S3 range already.
I get what your saying but Hey add some sweet detail and colours to compliment the pearl grey and it can look stunning and as I say meaningful on the right car....red or yellow calipers stand out against it and a few little colour touches.....and if the car sounds and sits right I find it hard to beat.....this is from a guy going bright orange with blue Audi badges

Depends on the car
Anyway I thought Audis are meant to be understated and discreet lol

also by putting this - also proud owner of an 8P RS 3 (Not on PCP or Finance) is not required on you signature just because its not on pcp or finance doesnt make you any better from anyone else on here.....Sounds like you have to prove.
Rest assured I've nothing to prove especially to you my friend.........
And as you point out I'm no better than anybody else on here........
Oh, I've just read your other little dig at 8P owners wanting to fit the 8V Carbon, nice to know your looking down upon us.

We seem to have veered way off subject - pity the interesting topics always seem to degenerate into 'pissing contests', I think I may give this forum a miss until the mass hysteria dies down and normal tolerance levels return

I'm not against grey either, I think Daytona with its coarse pearl looks stunning.
Daytona is a sure fire winner for Audi - that's why it's available all across the model range.
I was in Audi City on Wednesday - they had an RS6 with the Matt Daytona finish - beautiful, stunning car. Just not sure about the premium!

This forum went downhill when I stoppped posting
New RS3 is growing on me, still a lot of money for what it is...
I will wait until I see a couple before I think about jumping in when there are deals to be done... plus the usual revisions that improve things a year into production

Being a Lambo colour I doubt it is A.A. - Audi get very funny about using Lambo colours. I know 3 or 4 people that have tried to get them on exclusive line and been told NO!
As you say though, it looks close enough to your choice to be very annoying! I'm thinking its more likely to be catalunya red with bright lighting though - that does have an orange tinge to it in some light, and many cameras have a tendency to make red come out orange.

Sean all this talk of money makes me think of someone smoking a big fat cigar or there again nowadays cigars are out of fashion so maybe it should it be an E -Cigarette.

They do more to make me want a new RS3 than anything we've seen from the Spanish launch. And the sports exhaust has moved to my 'must have' list, too!
But I'm still very happy with my 8P and it will be staying for at least another year!

Audi usually make the dealers sell their demo cars within 6 months as they get them at wholesale price. If they keep them longer they have to pay the extra difference and then that devalues them as they also have to register the car in their name. I know this as I have bought a few Audi demos less than six months old with massive discounts and I am the 1st registered keeper.
All those cold start hard test drives! I know you get a warranty but not sure I could risk living in the service dept! You can get good deals as you say though.

My car was an ex-Audi motor, in fact if you ever saw the 'Top Gear on Ice' video of RS3 vs Impreza that is my actual car in the video! It has been perfect, I've done over 42k miles with it and it hardly uses any oil, too!

Don't they need to register the car in someone's name before they can tax and insure it?

Depends, some use trade plates so don't need to - I've been on many test drives on trade plates.
To be fair, the demos Duke3D is talking about are generally the ones sat in the show room, not the drivable demos - so they are not registered until sale.
