Especially if said average 'punter' never bought anything.

Sean I'd forgot about the "average punter " comments on another forumHowever if your average 'punter' kept going into the same Audi dealer all the time....... I Bet said dealer would soon get fed up

I've heard that certain dealer principles have different login names on various forums and that they do go on said forums to whip up hysteria whenever a new car is launched
Audi do seem to be going all out on this.
Perhaps Jose is a marketing tool........
Or indeed a dealership spy in our midst

Now I'm intrigued - average punter?

I was offered 9% discount, people started going nuts.
Jose classed us (well just me I think) as an 'average punter'
Again no offence or upset intended in my post.

I get in really well with 2 sales guys and the master tech, so they give me all sorts of little perks.
It's all just about building a relationship Pat.

What we had with Manchester Audi after buying 3 brand new cars, then in Typical Audi dealership style they ruined the relationship.
Probably explains the 9% sweetener to go back.

Well there were three of us @Poole Audi ... four if you count the sales guy, so it was a crowd! While there I think I managed to get tacit agrement concerning removal of secondary cats from the head MOT tester , which is good news.
Bad news is Poole Audis RS3 has the grey interior !! Not for me although seats a bit more comfortable than i expected. Like the updated interior cf. the original, and rare Mark 1 and the swage line in the lower section of the doors. Wheels are subtly different and look nice with black centre caps. The alu trim was sort of OK with Daytona Grey but sure most people would choose black?
Overall its updated enough, even without driving it , with a sports exhuast of course , to be a temptation for those with original, and rare Mk 1's coming to the end of a finance deal ? For those of us who choose not to finance its going to be about 3 years before I get one
BMW M2 in Mineral Grey
Audi A4 Avant 2.0 TDi Black Edition
Used to have a Condor Grey RS3 8P, and before that a further 47 assorted money pits

You need to turn traction control complete off and in dynamic mode. Then little throttle and give some smooth braking with left!

I got to start it up as well, the standard exhaust still had me and 2 sales guys giggling with the overrun pops and bangs as the Wife looked disdainfully on

Can only imagine the dynamic pack will make it insane! Can't wait!

Must be getting old because I'm not a fan of the silver chin strap or the silver exhaust garnish at the rear. Black pack is the future
Starting to feel similar - silver too bling and black too 'trying to be bad boy'. Just to be fickle I'd like to see one without either of the exterior design packs - like the Ivalo press car

Poole's is static only. But just got back from thrashing Tauntons
Basically a very sorted car. Brakes I noticed were very sensitive, but not grabby, and nice and progressive.
Other than that, it sticks to the road like glue, and OMG the downshift noises! It's truly addictive, I was downshifting just for the sake of it.
Also very good that manual mode means manual, no redline auto shift, no kickdown shift. Only thing missing is pull and hold the downshift paddle for selection of lowest possible gear - if it had that it'd be perfect!
Gonna drive Pooles drivable demo next week. And still hunting for one with sports exhaust - it's gonna be mad with that!
