We have been to Audi Southend today and have test driven the RS3 in Mythos Black....with Alu pack and Quattro badge, Silver Lunar Leather Sports seats.

I will keep the review short and sweet, it is better than the mk 1 RS3 and is leagues ahead of the current S3 which I have. I was not out in it for very long but it is true about the steering being very precise and acceleration phenomenal.

The exhaust was standard and fairly quiet in comfort mode but as soon as it was switched to dynamic mode is became a totally different beast altogether with crackles, bangs and pops....don't think the exhaust system with the magnetic ride is worth the money unless you really want the exhaust to be noisy.

Round 2 tomorrow at Ipswich Audi as test driving the Nardo Grey demo there and will hopefully get to drive for longer.

Hope everyone who has a test drive booked tomorrow enjoys.....you won't be disappointed.....!!

These are the Photo's of the sneaky preview of the Sepang Blue RS3 which we were lucky to see at Bexley Audi last Sunday.

It has Silver Lunar Leather Sports Seats, Alu Pack and Quattro badge.

This is for all the lover's of Sepang Blue.....this is the best colour combination.....in my opinion......lol

But possibly not with Grey seats .. unless you wan tthem to match your grey slip-ons and beige trousers (with expandable waist)

Must be getting old because I'm not a fan of the silver chin strap or the silver exhaust garnish at the rear. Black pack is the future

Rs3daz, you say it is better than the 8P, how so?

The steering is a lot sharper than the Mk1, brakes are better, feels much more solid on the road and obviously is quicker acceleration.

This is how the Mk1 should have been. You will have to be on a track to find any understeer on it.

The ride is much smoother, and it is all round a much better design, lighter chassis, better colour choice this time round.....lol

I was originally told by my dealer in April they wasn't having a demo but found out this week they are and have one in for the launch. Anyway I've finally got a test drive booked now with them Tuesday afternoon and as it will hopefully be a lot quieter I've blagged longer with the car using the "I still haven't got a build week, so any chance of more time" trick.  Anyway cannot wait  :11:

I gather you are comparing to a standard rather than a mapped 8P? Did your test car have mag ride?

I'd aim for earlier if you can as the crowds will be gathering. It's not invite only tho, just turn up.
I'll be eating my free breakfast (yes they offer that now!) behind the wheel of it ;)

Seriously you two, you got nothing better to do!
Obviously the dealership is going to be busy with people coming to see the car...

...I'm just an unexpected bonus.

Purely out of nosiness (your reply will have no benefit on my life other than to satisfy my curiosity and intrigue lol) ......can I ask what is your involvement with Audi that you are brokering deals for people, unveiling cars and appear to have a back door of information ??
If it's just a skill can you teach me pleeeeeeease

I've been into dealerships in the past turning up in Tuscans Porsches and all sorts.....and at a big weight and low body fat ( and I'm not quiet)....and I've still been either messed around ignored or treated with indifference....so come on share your secret ??

I've heard that certain dealer principles have different login names on various forums and that they do go on said forums to whip up hysteria whenever a new car is launched
Audi do seem to be going all out on this.
Perhaps Jose works for Audi marketing........... (I know, I've changed it don't want to upset or offend)

Or indeed a dealership spy in our midst

I do not condon or agree with comments calling members a tool of any description......lol

If that is the case then I'll use that dealership and maybe get some confidence back in the brand quality and not just the showroom shine

I've dealt with Poole in the past and can recommend them - as always there are good and bad on the Sales floor. I've never used their after sales side though so can't comment on that side.

I believe Jose has some sort of working relationship with them - mentioned it in an earlier post on another discussion thread.

No offence meant to Jose at my turn of phrase........
