Hi PG....I will always reply to your posts....in reply to post 69:

Yes I was comparing to the standard MK1 RS3 and no the Car at Southend Audi which I test drove yesterday did not have the magnetic ride and was standard suspension system. In my opinion Audi have got it spot on with the ride and it should not be messed with.

Today Me and my Mrs have been to Audi in Ipswich and test drove their Demo in Nardo Grey. I drove it on B Roads and the Car did have magnetic ride. We put the car into dynamic mode and magnetic on straight away. On attacking the B roads corners the road was very uneven and we found the ride to be far too harsh. Me and the Salesman were in the front of the car and my Mrs was in the back and she was being thrown about and bumps made the ride unbearable. We promptly changed into auto mode which gave a much better ride altogether for all of us.

I would not have the mag ride unless I was going to be driving on a track.

To me the standard set up of the New RS3 is spot on by the Audi design team. I would not pay the extra but I appreciate that everyone is entitled to their own opinion.  Hope this helps you.

We have got another test drive at Stansted Audi tomorrow and their demo is Daytona Grey. We are lucky enough to be going out for the third day running. I think this Car also has standard suspension and standard exhaust.

Looking forward to more driving tomorrow.

The first of the RS3 drive days has been finalised for Blackburn Audi:

http://www.audirs3oc...blackburn-audi/

I appreciate it's in the NW but i'm using this as a feeler for the rest of the meets so if anyone is free and near by enough to travel down please put your name down asap as we need an idea of numbers.

There'll be coffee and bacon sandwiches along with dedicated parking for the RS3's along the front of the showroom which will look great.

Cancelled due to no interest, Doesn't bode well for any other locations then I'm afraid.

I'd be interested MacD but you picked the one weekend in 7 in June / July when I'm not away and if I want to keep my family then I'd better see them this Saturday! And they won't be that interested in seeing a new RS3

Helpful comments, the query that comes to mind for me then is mag ride in auto better than the standard suspension? I had the C7 RS6 a couple of weeks ago and TBH the dynamic ride just made the car bouncy unless I was 9/10's flat out driving
