Legally I'd very much doubt they could refuse due to secondary decat pipes.
The only thing they wouldn't cover would be anything behind that like rear silencer exhaust valve etc.
If it had a map on or an induction kit then a different story.
When's she coming back mate?

Exactly...you know it was funny when i sat down to hand over the keys, the Audi rep he asked my to sign a disclaimer if I knew to my knowledge that the ECU has been tampered with....seems like they are getting stricter with warranty claims and people have had there's revoked before....

They have booked me in next week with a courtesy car, they will need it for 4 days though :o ...and said the ECU has been reset so the car will be alright to drive for now... I did say what if something else gets damaged whilst driving?....then they said they will replace FOC... so win win!  :D

Legally Audi shouldn't be refusing warranty work to squealing brakes, vibration through the steering wheel at 70 - 80 mph and a clicking sound coming from the front wheels due to suspecting the vehicle has previously been remaped but they are.

They must have proof that the cars been mapped to do that though?
That's no biggie really as it seems even when it's not been mapped they are unable to rectify the things you've listed!

There does seem to be a few cars that've been put back to standard for trading in, it's a gamble

Never tell Audi you have mapped it! If they ask say that you purchased the car like that and they cannot say anything...ultimately if they find out...your warranty is out the window and they will lose faith in dealing with you efficiently.... it happened once to my good friend and his beloved piston blown S3 Sport back

My car will never be mapped, unless I feel the need once the warranty has finished.
Currently have standard secondary cats on with the guts removed.
The only mod I have is an uprated rear anti roll bar which obviously invalidates my warranty on rear drop links but that's it.

Im in the same boat...but contemplating a non res cat back...just deciding on price if I can get one cheap...not forking out 1K!

Right! An update on this, New Lamda Sensor, New Primary Cat, New Oxygen Sensor/Air Mass Flow and a new front airbox. All comes to a total of £1356 inclusive of VAT :o

All for just an emissions light. <_< ...

Turns out the the failed sensors from the front were sending the cars MPG and combustion skits which caused this problem..

Oh and lucky for me it has all been replaced under warranty.

^_^  ;)  :D  :)

Lucky you...  I'm still running secondary catalytic converter by-pass pipes and zero issues...

I hope it wasnt because of the secondary bypass pipes but it is convenient how 4 weeks after bypass pipes, these problems develop!
