Hi chaps,

I've been watching this thread for a while now, and even as an RS3 virgin, I was pretty excited about the online configurator coming up in the past couple of days. I have yet to place an order myself, mainly because I am waiting for some proper reviews to come out, and for a test drive opportunity to appear.

One thing I have wondered is whether it would be worth sticking it out until September-ish time by the time some of the hype has died down, in case of the possibility of some discounts. How did discounts work with the previous version? Were they plentiful or simply non-existent?

Cheers!

See everyone is so determined not to have nardo grey I might actually get it in that colour as I think it will look rare plus saves 2k on going for a nice different colour

Mono Pur is not real leather its a man made substitute ,Mercedes do a similar thing called Artico. :84:

I'm gobsmacked why some of these bits and his are extras on Audis and what anyone wouldn't want them,,, so add them as standard ....it must make configuring a bloody nightmare and some bits missed off for some people....no wonder so many turn up wrong

At a guess with £10,000 deposit it will be around £650 a month mark

I'd be interested to know what deliveries you're being quoted. I spoke with Audi this afternoon to ask them if I needed to confirm specification to maintain my build slot. The response was no, not yet, all orders are pending.

Pat I've read lots posts on other forums where people say they wished they had added other options whilst speccing their new car.My advice to anyone would be do your reaserch and think long and hard about what you want and need  because once the car is delivered its too late.

If you haven't already got your deposit down I don't think you'll have to worry to much. My understanding is that the UK allocation has already been taken and they won't take any further orders until next year.

I have had a pre order deposit in since the 12th December 2014 and my order went in today. Just found out from my dealer that the expect deliveries in December this year. So a wee while to wait.

I have also not seen many go for the 5 year warranty or are people just not stating it on here, a massive selling point in a few years or extended peace of mind?

I was told you had up until around a week before collection to take out the extended warranty. On the face of it they look good value?

Kibber, no privacy glass, standard seats. I'm not a fan of the supersport seats.
