Shell is going to paint in a week or so.....no doubt it will be in there a while.

I really don't think that "Gas Monkey" or "For the love of Cars" are quite as authentic on completion times as they make out

In fact I know they aren't Ant Anstead from the latter confessed it to me in private
Richard Rawlings can only go "whooo" when asked anything lol

Yes - Rawlings is starting to get on my nerves but can't help but watch the programme for the work that they do. And they do admit that some of the builds are weeks rather than days , unlike Overhaulin' which I just cant watch anymore - now there are 2 girls who do nothing other than sate the obvious while wearing tight jeans and tee shirts... OK so I watch it sometimes  :D

Quite enjoying Bitchin Rides at the moment - KIndig at least admitted that the big bus concept thing that they restored took 18 months.

Anyway - good to see some progress Pat - and loving the dash work  :)

At this rate you might make GTI Festival ....

I might start watching Overhaulin' again, with the sound off!

With the extra thickness of the leather, you might get away with the 8V vents if they float your boat.

They are also available in red, and iirc while they need a bit of modifiying, they  are ever so slightly bigger in the outer bezel.

There was a post with a picture over on ASN , but it is eluding me at the moment.

8V red vents...

Hey lads your comments mean a hell of a lot they really do.....thanks for your support

Yeh I'm with you all on bitchin rides I even wanted to smack the owner of that R8 for getting his car done so quick as so brilliantly...I did get the name of the wheels on it G forged they are called and they have some wicked rims (did I just say that at nearly 53 ffs)

Yeh the hotties on Overhaulin are a draw but that car restoration prog where it's the all girl garage is dire !! Do you agree ?

Sorry can't go with the coloured vents as every vent hole as been allocated to a gauge or controller

Prop shaft will be getting made when I give the word and it seems that the advice I was given to use longer TTRS front drive shafts was wrong and in fact what we have on the 8P are as good and as long and as (the only ones that fit) it gets but until the bits are on and married up I'm unwilling to spend money on uprated until we know for sure

Think we looking for a new painter now as agreed one getting cold feet, I have another wonder boy to speak with but they all seem to want the turn around repair jobs......Trimming is coming on now...brakes still haven't turned up !!
Drive shafts and prop I'm leaving for now (but the plan is set for them) If the trim and paint gets done or finished they will need paying for and will clear me out for a few months

Shame about the painter.

I know enkahnz do a lot of custom work and one off jobs. They have top notch paint booths too . Maybe worth a chat with him. He's called nav is the guy that owns it I think.

Would be nice to see this finished!
