Apr it is then.... Has everyone changed the bolts and decatted?

Have bought the uprated bolts not fitted them yet though. Currently decatted but I have an APR downpipe and sports cat to go on so will probably do the prop bolts at the same time.

Hopefully I won't regret it but I have year to hear anyone who has so that must be a good think... Going for a secondary cat bypass and Apr map, looking forward to some fun!!

That is what I told myself when I bought my RS3: " Gonna keep this one bog standard " lol, I have to say lasted a bit longer then a month, but bloody hell I thought, tuners can get 500 and over bhp out of these engines, why am I worrying about a little stage1 remap?  I have enjoyed every single minute of it since.

I've been fortunate enough to have your experiences to guide me.... I've been looking at most of your previous posts to gauge your thoughts at the time of your remap and seems like I'm like the rest of you all... So I thought why wait for the I inevitably!! I have been reading as much as a can about lc on these cars and seems a lot of us have been using it without any problems despite the remap.... I read all about fletches problems which no doubt everyone has bit I have also read others using lc for years without issue... Not that I use lc but I still reckon I'll be tempted even more.... It's like the forbidden fruit

The softwares great!

My advice is don't use launch though, trust me it'll be quick enough anyway and I'm not sure it'll make much difference.

I launched plenty of times mapped with no issue, perhaps not worth the risk tho

Car being remapped as I speak.. Reading some horror stories and has made me feel more nervous than excited.... Hope I have made the right decision just want to enjoy ownership. This maybe a bit knieve and perhaps wishful thinking but mine is register Feb 2013 and seemed to already have all the relevant upgrades... Hoping that this may have avoided the bad batch .... Like I said wishful thinking maybe

You wont regret it.

I'd be interested to hear what AMD are like I might get them to change my downpipe. I'll likely have a Stage II downpipe for sale soon.

Ok so just got back from amd tuning... Unfortunately not really had a chance to play around with the car yet on my drive back but was interesting what figures were produced. Stock was 363.1 bhp and 378.4 lb-ft torque!! I bought my car approved used from Audi but amd said someone had already removed the ecu before! Anyway figures, bhp were pretty good at 397.6bhp. But torque seemed through the roof at 487.9 lbs-ft.... Also on my drive back I got 38.5mpg
