Hi guys (and girls of course) I've just bought my first RS3 and this May not please the purists but I'm planning a full transformation and I am aiming to create a somewhat one off car via my own ideas and the expertise of PSI tuning in Staffordshire........ideas list is endless but basics are going to be DD customs bodykit, detailed paint job, KW suspension, silly size brakes, interior upgrades, definaely audio upgrade .......oh yeh nearly forgot 700-750bhp
I'm looking for any members that have also gone for major alterations to their cars and pics of styling, wheels, body, audio format additional gauge location and any other wicked and good looking mods that have set their cars apart
Any ideas on the engine and handling welcome too but think we more or less there on that lot and it's way too specialised for my brain
This is not just a might do, this is current and already underway on products and procedures being sourced and detailed so now is my time to find out what others have done and who they have used
Thank you

Mmmmm a build thread made public I'd not thought of that although I have started a diary of how I arrived at the choice of car and why.....also why those that know me think I'm mad.......one guy that knows the cars I've owned said "why you trying get 700+ out of an RS3" my answer was "because I'll struggle to get 800+"

As for STICKERS unless they the RS logo on colour coded calipers or wheel centres then not a chance although I am looking at paint and wrap ideas similar to the white/black/orange MTM car
I've got a mate bless him who's all over some game called Forza Motorsport and sending me pics of RS3 with different paint jobs and wheels he's created for ideas

The stickers are a forum joke bear sorry,,,,,, Sound like you got a lot on your plate getting it done , I bet your excited about it though.  700 in a RS3 sounds mad and i bet it will drive the same too.... good luck to you hope it all goes well  :)

Thanks for your comments.....any great ideas on trim, audio, gauges, housings and aesthetic components is very much appreciated
Has anyone fitted the DAB radio upgrade component ?? I've seen them advertised but do they sit well and integrate properly

Ok here's the breakdown so far I can only quote what has been decided upon and ordered and not what has been done as that stands at nothing at present as all parts have just been ordered
It's difficult to know what to do 1st as it's an everything is getting changed task

Car is a 2012, 9700miles in Suzuka grey (which was white when I were a lad) went for this colour so that it was a good base for some great paint ideas....well stolen ideas off MTM !!

Components sourced discussed and ordered so far excluding wheels, interior mods, audio upgrade etc are

GTX35 hybrid Turbo Kit+downpipe+Map...... Been told this along with internals will give 700+
Revo Performance Intake
Milltek Exhaust/Cat Delete
FMIC Forged pistons and rings
HPFP Autotech
IE Rods and bearings
Full set of Coolant and turbo Hoses
Diverter Valve
Tranmission mount
Clutch changes to DSG and gearbox upgrade
KW DDC Coilover Kit linked to active suspension electronics
Porsche Brake Kit
H&R Roll Bars
Whiteline Anti Lift Kit
Performance Haldex drive bias activator
DD customers Widearch Bodykit + front and rears

I'm reckoning that when fully completed I could have bought a new F typeR coupe Jag at same money lo

All the parts that are coming off will be for sale if anyone needs replacements

I will definately be changing the wheels as they will look lost in the big arches and I can go wider too for better traction....I wa going go 21s like in the concept car Audi produced but racers I know have said not to and in fact stay at 19s
I'll prob go 20s BUT ANY MEMBERS WHO HAVE TRIED PLEASE GIVE ME INFO.... Even if u think I'm being a D##K tell me why
If ur interested in the wheels I can keep them for you but they will still be needed for a while for the guys to move the car about unless they have an old set of owt they can use

Sounds like an awesome revamp. Having driven and loved Porsche brakes (Audi does too I suppose) can you give more details on the model type you intend to use i.e. 996 / 997 and the car version? Given the controversy over the standard kit it would be useful to know. I have a 911 and the RS3 and in all honesty I just don't trust the RS3 brakes. Keep us all posted on this journey!

Hi Big Bear can you let me know when parts become for sale as I am now out of warranty and would be interested in getting spare parts for mine. Also cant wait to see your beast and hopefully you might be able to shame some GTR's especially a 13 plate one that always annoys me on the M4 west bound every time I am enroute home from London.

Please populate progress because I have loved MTM' RS3's for a long time but the price tag is something that I would rather save towards a different car. At least APR remap on mine seems great especially with the well negotiated stickers that Mr Freeze got me!

Hi bear, I'm guessing you've already seen this video but worth mentioning anyway, a PPH tuned 600hp RS3, can imagine a video of yours being as epic if not more epic then this one:

Hi guys in answer to the brakes question I believe we are using Porsche brakes but not sure which ones. I will certainly find out on Monday when Ade at PSI is back in as he is tha main man on suitability.....the brakes he initially quoted on were way too expensive but I can imagine me one day thinking I wish I'd bought them just as I'm about to do a Marc Bolan
I've owned 996 & 997 turbos and a 997GT2 with ceramics so yeh they cracking units although I preferred std to ceramic especially in the cold

RS addict what parts would you want do you reckon. I thought everything Audi was bullet proof anyway but yeh there will be some goodies to be had
I thought I'd get most interest from everyday A3 owners wanting to upgrade handling turbo brakes and wheels
As bits become available ill list them

legate
I'll watch the vid now.....I've seen the dashboard vid of the supposed 750ps doing I think 227mph but personally I reckon it was on a dyno coz chuck a brick at a pool of treacle (which is what air is at that speed) and it won't reach high velocities

Picking car up tomorrow from Celtic cars in. Prestatyn then Monday morning trip to the trimmers so he can have a look then drop car at PSI and straight into theatre for the initial strip down !!

Wow that one on the vid sounds lovely. defiantly prefer twin end pipes than one oval one
The bodykit I'm buying comes with back boxes and oval pipes for both sides I'm told........gotta be twins on each side. I reckon, what you say ?

Bear, I managed to blagg some free stickers from one of the top men at APR.
Unfortunately jealously rears its ugly head in many forms, one being mickey taking.

I was always taught "if you don't ask, you don't get" simples......

Don't hate the player, hate the game.......

Current car: Tesla M3 Performance.

“Lightning" 2012 RS3, Ibis White (Sold).  “Bumblebee” 2018 S1 Competition, Vegas Yellow (Sold).  2020 TTRS mk3 Sport Edition (Sold).
