Mines in tomorrow at Stoke Audi.
Had to chase this mind....so not impressed once again by the lack of continuety from Audi CS....
Had a call from Tyneside Audi today to say Audi CS have said to them they have ordered the parts for brake squel for me to be delivered to them and CS will notify them when they are available but no ETA as yet. Also spoke about the wet weather breaking issue so rather than losing my car for weeks upon end when it is tipping it down I'll take it across and demonstrate the issue with a tech. on board.

So that'll be one Techie returning to Audi needing clean underwear!

this reminds me of a trip to our local Honda dealer when my S2000 had a braking problem. The dealer couldn't replicate the issue so I took the service manager out with me. For some reason he went a bit white as we VTEC'd toward a roundabout and then braked into it...just to demonstrate the judder of warped brakes of course.
I will never forget his comment "none of our other customers drive their S2000's like this, most just drive about with the roof down", anyway the brake pads and discs were replaced under warranty and the mechanic who did the work asked if I'd take him out for a drive afterwards, which I did. They both came down to Pembrey for a few passenger laps too later that year.
To this day they still talk to me about the S2000 and those test runs and laps, strangely we never have a problem getting warranty work done!
So I wrote today (21st may 2013) to the MD and two other contact names I have at Audi UK (all three are based at Milton Keynes) asking to discuss the brake-squeal issue and the current dealer updates. I failed to get a conversation with anyone but did get the following from one of my known contact names:
"We have released a product improvement for the RS3 which involves a modification to the braking system, however we are in the process of securing the relevant parts. We anticipate that they will become available within a couple of weeks and once this has been confirmed it will be made available across our Centre Network."
I hope this provides comfort to those who are currently feeling left out.

How did you break the prop shaft Oli?
There's software to solve that issue now.

Mine went in today, my Dad dropped it off and they told him they were doing a software update too???
Does this remove launch? I'm going to be pretty pissed off if the car no longer does what the manual say's it will??
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
They said the same thing to me when mine went in for the brake fix, they called it " Engine Management Software Update " but the launch control is just fine, exactly the same as it has always been.
Thanks, I love a good launch me
Had a text that it is done this morning so guess I will find out later!

Well launch still works and it actually felt quicker?? Maybe placebo?
I have a couple of new updates showing in my service book now...
It's a pricey fix thats for sure! The discs look honed too, is that normal?

Mine back from Coulsdon Audi today with modified calipers, discs and pads. Reported the problem to Audi UK on Monday, so a very quick turnaround...
