Haha I now have 20 spare 30amp fuses in the glove box and various other spares in the garage 😂 I got the wipers working once I got the spare fuses. Had her out for a drive and she is running like a dream again and no fault codes or anything untoward thank god.

Can not believe the garages didn't check the most obvious things first then a case of process of elimination, Extraordinary.

Dan i've done it myself as these fuse boards are nothing like what you or I work on as you can put your meter proble onto the top of the fuse & your get voltage both side as your pushing down on it but as you come off the fuse will open circuit.
By the looks of his fuse & the carbon build up on the blade it had high resistance which would cause a voltage/current drop then all sorts of strange faults/issues as some of the sensors work on 5v not 12v.
Most garages Inc main dealers an't lecky zavvi & normally get an auto electrician in for such faults or the like of Alex.

To be honest I can’t blame the garage for not seeing the fuse as like Dell says.
But even I tested this fuse as one of the first things I looked at and on initial check with a meter if you don’t touch where the build up is (which I didn’t notice first time) then the meter gives a reading as if the fuse is all ok.
So it’s one of those things but I will definitely being more thorough with my initial checks in future to avoid paying for parts that aren’t needed.
