How did you get 35 on the trip up?  The best I have ever seen with the most dull driving possible is 31.  I arrived at the track with it at 27 and that was going over in D comfort and not giving it any beans anywhere.

I am still a bit pissed about being black flagged for noise though.  They have got that one a bit wrong as it was the car in front that was noisy as f although he survived the day I noticed.

Just to add I fully agree with everything that's been said in above posts

Just an absolutely great day, enjoyed the wet slippery circuit, was a fast learning curve with 2 spins and the over shot chicane across the grass with Dell

Was good to meet up again and enjoyed your company as always John, Tony & Dell. Looking forward to doing it all again next year.

How I didn't spin it (especially with the instructor sat next to me at 9.30) will remain one of life's mysteries - I couldn't have come any closer especially as I nearly span it on the sighting lap!  I think you and Dell were the only ones to go gardening today but full credit mate!

It was such a great day and put the ills of September to bed once and for all - we killed them all - M3s, Porsches and, most enjoyably, the caterhams!!  Still buzzing and just want to get out there again.  I suppose that is the motorsport curse.

You are more than welcome to tag along to the next one Scott. A bit of an epic drive for you though.

I am still really buzzing from the day - even on the straights in the wet we laid down power unlike anything else.  Epic.

I would also say that there is nothing to hit at Beford - I somehow managed to stay on the black stuff (or the green hardstuff) all day yesterday which, given the conditions, is probably a badge of shame tbh.

The Javelin rules are that once you brake into a corner then that corner is yours and everyone stuck to it tbf (apart from Graham of course who found it perfectly acceptable to go past me under braking on the straight when I was rather concerned about a trip up Dell's arse as he had braked so early!)

Can't wait for the next one.

I'd love it Tony, donno if I could translate my Playstation Formula 1 97 skills to the track, be a whole different ball game on a real track. The only issue I see is wanting to stay down for a heavy beer session afterwards then risking driving home the next day. Or maybe we could do the Millennial/Snowflake generation thang and go to the gym afterwards.................Nope lets go for a beer after!

I didn't mind Grahams overtake btw - he was never going to hit me in my mind and, next time out, I will do the same to him!!!

You have got it right the first time!  There is a great hotel in Buckden (about 30 mins from the track) called the Georges as I recall - I stayed there and got so pissed the night before one of the Palmer Sport days I went to it was a disgrace.  Mind you, out of the 3 corporate Palmer Sport events I attended I did night and day the best of the lot.

I was incapable of making a decision so just did what the bloke in the seat next to me said with no independent input. I think \I chundered a few times in private moments too...  The other 2 times I did a Palmer Sport corp day I was stone cold sober - the best day (by a fair margin) was when I was incapable but receptive.  I am not sure (this was 15 years ago) I have got over the implications.

Anyway COME ON CHAPS!!!!  We have had 2 events here 11 cars - no-one has binned it (not that there is anything to stack in to) - 2 great days.  In the wet we have the Ultimate Driving Machine albeit it is trademarked as another brand!  We need to time it so there is a fair chance of it being wet / green.

It is going to be hard on the tyres, hard on the pads, very hard at the filling station but totally f*cking epic!  And you are going to meet a totally sound bunch of blokes.  And you might meet me too.
