Haha... plenty updates to come. Picking up my brakes next week can’t wait to put them on.
Also dying to see what I’ll get in Santa pod.
Low 8’s maybe.
2 weeks away till build date....

Low 8's ????? I admire your optimism. :D

The car would need to be stripped bare inside and out (exhaust box off, lightweight race battery, single lightweight race seat etc etc) running fat drag radials, some super high octane moon juice, some spare driveshafts (judging by Iroz's recent efforts) and a tailwind of epic proportions!! You would also probably be exceeding the 150mph limit at Santa Pod before having to add 'additional braking measures' (parachute??)

If you drive the car regularly (not just a weekend drag car) and can get it to run consistently in the 9's with pretty much full weight then it would be an impressive machine. The quest for 8's would involve gutting the car to make it lighter as per all the Youtube hero's such as Malaka, Iroz, APR, IE, 034, Unitronic cars do. Iroz being the only car from this list to currently break into the 8's (8.85)

Hope the build goes well and we get to see the results in the coming weeks. :up_it:

Was only messing buddy
I’m not on the journey for low numbers
It’s my daily driver also and full interior wil remain.
Low 9s will be good tho.

Santa pod and 150mph??? Didn’t know that, pretty sure I’ll smash thru that with the ims version2zzz

If you can get into the low 9's with full interior that will be impressive. You will need a good launch strategy to achieve that sort of time ie; not likely to go that fast on just street tyres (lack of grip).

The Santa Pod rules have recently been based only on 'recommendations' for certain speeds on RWYB days. However, the organiser's have warned that many previously optional safety items will shortly become mandatory. Link below for latest SP rules etc.

Yh I am mate. Ims Version 2 with the external wastegate setup and new xona rotor. Quicker spool an all, I have to build the engine with this new kit adding additional costs but atleast it’ll be strong.

Few bits have arrived with me during the week.
Set of ds2500 rear pads
H&R spacers 8mm all round
034 dogbone mount inserts
Eibach springs
4x 500ml Motul rbf600 brake fluid
And my integrated engineering intake which is at jbs ( first bit of my turbo kit to arrive... rest will follow next week)
The build starts 3rd June hopefully ( kit delivery depending)
Was meant to pick up my ap big brakes next Wednesday, they are now due to be anodised but the anodisers are closed all week next week and then Reyland are closed the week after so won’t be collecting them now until after the build is done. A bummer because was Intending to put on my brakes and suspension bits on next week

You’ll need more than one bottle of RBF600 mate for a full flush. On my 8P I use 4x 500ml bottles to give it a good flush through all the lines until it’s all clear fluid.

Yeah agreed.

I used 2x 500ml bottles on the GTD.

250 ml from each corner.

And it was just enough.
