I was speaking to the owner of a local tuning company this week and they have had a lot of DSG owners that have had issues caused by the oil and this included the magnatron. They not only recommend using a non fully synthetic oil but said the manufacturers do not put the optimum amount of oil in.
Does anyone have any ideas or thoughts on this subject?
Stu.
When I've changed the DSG oil & filter i used the OEM oil & filter supply by TPS.
I've refilled as per Audi instructions inc the oil level.
From my understanding there's been very little real problems with our DSGs mate.

Mine has been fine and I actually had the oil + filter (had to ask for that as they weren't going to do it!) changed recently by Audi. Suggested change cycle is every 40k miles.

I guess its a case of use the oil specified but do more regular oil changes if it gets some stick.
