I remember investigating viper green when specing the car.
The deposit required was £5k and non refundable.

Very much doubt you'll find an brand new exclusive colour sitting at the dealers.

thats what im saying, if there is a run off or updated model in September then maybe a can order an exclusive one.

I owned a pre fl A45 for a little over 12 months prior to getting the RS3.
If you want a car that is more "focussed" than the RS3 then the A45 may tick that box.
Different strokes for different folks though.
There aren't many A45 owners that would look twice at an RS3. You need a hybrid brain like mine to fully appreciate both!

Just the gearbox alone spoilt it for me , and the fact it has really poor traction when launching and into corners at a mildly quick pace.

Good review!
I test drove the cla45 before getting the RS3 - it felt like it was powered by a hamster in a wheel..
test drove the m3 - bought an m4
Had it since the start of the year and all has been fine in the rain, I did have an issue on a day where we have heavy snow but all has been fine apart from that.
In regards to sound I have removed secondary cats and it sounds great, however, not quite as good as the RS3, As said before very managable when it does break free. My guess is that with the orange one in the clip, traction must have been fully off as I have never experience in the different conditions I've driven mine in.
With all that being said, I am keeping a keen eye on whats coming with the RS3 saloon

With all 4 windows open the RS3 is comically loud, how did the sports exhaust ever get signed off

Believe it or not mate I think my m4 may be louder, but the RS3 makes a better noise

The M3 and M4 are great cars Billy can't go wrong with either. Had one pull up behind me a while back no noise, then all of a sudden it got really loud - sport mode?!

Works the same way as the RS3 tx, valves closed in efficient mode and open in sport and sport plus. Makes a big diff to the sound. I have a valve controller fitted to mine so can have them fully open or closed despite what mode I'm in. Works off a remote. Also have secondary cats removed so sounds a lot better. Was underwhelmed with the sound of it when I first got it especially after the RS3 but with the mods it's a lot better!
No matter what you do they still sound terrible on a cold start

Mine after it was warmed up, sound pretty crazy on the move, a lot of burbles and backfire when you lift off

I really do like the new M3/4, but I do think they sound like a wasp crying due to explosive diarrhoea.

Can't say I've ever heard that description before
They don't sound the best in videos tbh, I don't know if you have but hear one with an aftermarket exhaust in person and you will be quite suprised

got to agree , the videos dont do these cars justice at all, they sound quite good in the flesh and with a different exhaust i bet they sound very good.
