996 Turbo. I wanted a back to basics car after the F10 M5. I believe the 997 is supposed to be a cracking car.

 

Hard, Noisey, slow, weird brakes, weird steering, OLD technology, no toys, not even an arm rest, no space. did not handle like I thought. Very unstable on the edge especially if you had to adjust the throttle mid corner. got a few but clenching moments lol. huge costs if you wanted to mod anything. I did map it and made it a good chunk faster but still not for me.

 

I used to love looking at it though. Car looks fantastic. mine was Lapis blue with same interior and I did the wheels in graphite grey looked amazing.

997 turbo was a very serious contender when I was looking at cars but went with the RS3 because of my growing sprog brigade .

How do you feel the RS3 compares to the turbo 997

I can't comment on the 8v as I bought mine 2 weeks ago and my brother has been driving it 🙈

I think 8v will be the next step for me unless I can some how get the 997 and a bus for the times I have to take the brat pack with me
