So whos running what? Any upgrades other than Tarrox?

My front discs have given up after 50k miles (3k of me being hard on them is enough for them to quit) i just put on yellow stuff pads also.

The brakes on the RS3 are in my opinion quite bad lol, Coming from the RS4 which was a big heavy bus to stop i just feel the brakes are pretty weak,

Having run EBC Red and Yellow, Red's are better on OEM discs and then swap the OEM to 8pot calipers, you'll have far better brakes.

DP31210C for the fronts
DP31518C for the rears.

If you want to retain the front brake pad wear sensor, you will need to buy

DP32070C TTRS Redstuff Pads from Summit Racing in the US.

50K miles on one set of discs? Mine were shot to shite at 22K at most!

Get the Reds, 13K so far on reds and no complaints. Discs have minimal wear and braking is sooooo much improved.

No I bought the car with 19K on it but it was the shite Audi pads fitted from new that ate the discs. Lots of threads on here about it but over time the Audi/ Pagid pads wear grooves into the discs due to the metal pins they use to hold the material on to the backing plate.

I found this out when trying to brake from 140 MPH... Severe brown trouser moment.

Happily not to re-occur with the Reds.  :D

Go Redstuff front and rear for a road-going no worries brake pad; 2-years on and Redstuff remains for me a very brake-disc friendly brake-pad.

My OEM items are still on my garage shelf - with a set of horrific OEM front pads Duke3D kindly sent me - and have zero chance of going anywhere near my calipers ever again

HI Paul,

Is there no one in the UK that stocks the DP32070C TTRS pads ?

I can see them on Summit Racing USA page.

They don't sell them here in the uk....

When I rang EBC they wouldn't even look into available sets for the uk market...

I was told in no uncertain terms RedStuff pads were not available for the 8p RS3, the only one they offered was the Yellowstuff pads.

When I mentioned that the Evo pad fitted as its the same caliper they again said no to RedStuff pads.

When I asked why...... They said the RedStuff was only suitable for the American market as it was more suited to their style of roads.

I had Yellowstuff on less than 2 days before they started falling apart, when I emailed / rang EBC they said its 'normal' Sir.

Then gave up with EBC as a whole.

I have never tried yellow stuff pads before but had redstuff ones on my scoobys and never had any issues with them.

Will order a set from the USA, and see how long they take to arrive.

Cheers guys!!

Hi, the only place I found them was in the US.

Ironically they are made in the UK shipped to the US and I paid to ship them back.

I chose these over the other set in my post above because I prefer to retain the Audi brake wear sensor.

Cost was in the region of £125 shipped . Took a couple of weeks , Summit keep you updated with progress.

Thanks Paul, I would prefer to keep wear sensor as well so will go with Summit.

Did you just order rear reds from  the UK?

Did you need to pay import tax on the US ones?

I ordered the rear reds with my MTEC drilled rear discs as there was an offer on.

When you order with Summit there is a postal option that includes all the taxes/ duty etc ... So I paid it all at the cart.

Don't worry too much about the back order status, they arrived sooner than anticipated.

$183.40 is £128.21 at today's rates xe.com
