You must be on good terms with the dealer as mine wouldn't alter the spacing of the plate no matter how hard I pleaded with them!
I spotted a Nardo RS6 when I was out today and he gave me a brief nod which was nice.

Nardo RS4
Part of me hates you right now Mike !!
(Just banta) another member was offended last time I said that !!
As you've mention it, Rs3owner; it was the word "hate" I reacted to and not to you personally! I'm way past that! Our world has spent way too long with it (hate!!!) and it's a sadness; I hope you'll agree.
No need to go far for an experience; go spend a day or two (as I have over the last 12-months) in a cancer treatment ward at your local hospital and you'll see where I'm coming from...
Enjoy this life, 'cos this is it!
Oh, and I love the RS6 and RS7 and S8: the V8 twin turbo lump is the most exciting engine I've ever driven, just the single digit fuel consumption figures I find difficult to come to terms with so congratulations to MikeFish; I for one don't 'hate' or envy him; I've an Audi RS3...

TX, like I say he wouldn't put the plates on. He supplied me with normal plates but at my request he didn't actually attach them and that meant I could attach my own plates that I took along with me. The correctly spaced plates were put in the boot as evidence that he supplied me with the correct plates. However, I did order the RS6 2 days after collecting an RS3 from him so I like to think that gets you a few favours?
What a brilliant number plate idea.....I'm so impressed I now wish I'd now gone for The original idea of a totally mental none OE RS6 build.....yes I've checked if RS30 plates exist and I can't see as they do
Had I done a 6 then this one would of be mine for sure done in the same fashion
RS6 0 FFS. absolutely perfectimage.png
RS6 O FFS was actually on my list as my wife says that all the time, but with 2 young children I decided it was a little inappropriate.
I had a big list of other alternatives, most of which are £400:
RS6 I GOT
RS6 I SEE
RS6 I SPY
RS6 5TOP
RS6 O FFS you alreayd mentioned
RS6 4 BAN
RS6 4 WET
plus more that I have forgotten.
She said I should have got RS6 I GAY
Unfortunately, for the RS3 you have to go RS03 xxx.

As you say we only get one shot at life and we have to enjoy it the best we can.
Thank you, Rs3owner; for sure values change with experiences; my regards to you and yours and anyone else unfortunate to have such experiences
Just for a laugh: I currently have a catheter fitted, care of A&E last Monday; and having RS3copilot at UHNS last Thursday for a PET scan I had to drive back down the M6 in our RS3; unfortunately, I'd forgotten to empty my bag that's attached to my right/accelerator pedal leg... Now, the M6 isn't a smooth running surface and the added weight of the bag and it's contents on my leg/accelerator made for a very rough ride home...
Always look on the bright side... Take care...
A stunning car with a grate number plate Enjoy..........

Looks so much more purposeful and planted Mike, how different does it feel to drive? What springs and drop?
H&R springs with a 40mm drop all round. Back looks like it is sitting too high (or some would argue that the front is too low) for some reason, maybe needs to settle a bit. Oddly mine looked higher when standard than the non-performance models so maybe there have been some changes underneath. In fact, Plush Automotive, who fitted the springs, said there were some diffierences to their RS6 (a very recent non-performance model) with regards to the ARB mount and bottom arms so maybe there are more differences too.
No difference in ride quality as far as I can tell so far. Maybe feels a bit more planted but that may be the placebo effect and me pushing it harder just to check how it goes.
The day one was at the garage and had literally just come off the ramp. The night one was a few hours later after a little drive so may have settled a little.
They are completely different.
The 6 is physically big and hard to drive on some narrower lane roads. It is phenomenally quick in a straight line though. It is really nice inside and has some really nice touches. I love the electric tailgate, the dynamic indicators, the sweeping needles and LEDs, the steering moving up when I get in and out so it doesn't bash my fat gut, the illuminated RS sills in the back as well as front, the alcantara trim, the blue stitching, the illuminated interior (along door trims and thigh pads), the matrix LEDs etc. the matrix LEDs are worth an extra mention as they work really well. If anyone doesn't know what they are, they are like your LEDs but when you put the main beams on it will light up the whole road as normal but as you approach a car in front it will just dip the lights around that car so you don't blind him but will still light up the rest of the road, the same if a car is coming towards you. When driving on unlit roads you can really see it working and it's amazing.
But it's all about the speed, it's instant and brutal when you floor it, but will happily pootle around the rest of the time even in S mode. Unlike the 3 or the 4 I can't put my foot down at any time, you really need to be careful with it and think about it before flooring it. And when you do floor it you can only do it for a few seconds at a time otherwise you will be well over the speed limit.
The 3 on the other hand can be driven harder ie foot down for longer and more often without fear of getting caught out, it stops quicker and goes round bends easily. The weight difference is really apparent when changing direction. It corners flatter and a lot more naturally.
It's fast but not as brutal in straight lines, pretty sure a race could go either way depending on the balance between straights and bends.
