I had a black F80 but the Yas Marina always caught my eye and what my heart really loved.

If I could, id have my RS3 in bright orange with black and red styling.

Thanks bud! Did you come from an m3? How have you found the change

I struggle going backwards with the interior (you know what I mean) but I love being able to always put the power down..

All well and good having a tuned bi-turbo v6 but no good if the DCT wont let you use it ;)

I know what your saying about the interior pal.
And I drive with the traction off most of the time, spin the tyres everywhere😬. the engine note is crap imho, my mate as an akrapovic exhaust which sounds miles better. Some knob head keyed both my passenger doors last week, pretty pissed about that 😡

One of the things I hated in the BMW is the bad attention. You are stereotypically a w***er and get more bad attention than good.

I never got anyone admiring the car like I do with the RS3, no one rolled down their window and started talking on the middle of the north circular either.

Engine sounds crap on start up...like a diesel, but give it some beans (which you cant legally) and it really opens up. I was always to scared to turn traction off in fear of the tail swinging and taking out a few cars lol!

I here you peazzz. I was going to add all the m performance bits, I'm not going to bother now. I'll just stick with my skoda diesel runabout, nobody would even lean on that, it hasn't been washed in 40k lol

I've found the car sounds a hell of a lot better from the outside than the inside. Have disconnected the exhaust valves for some more noise

Yeh Litchfield etc do a tuning box which will give over 500bhp.

I would keep eye on the date mate, I was promised this year and and it got pushed to next. Are you 1 of the first 3 at your dealership ?

After quite a few BMW's over the years,  including 6 "M" cars , the bad image of BMW drivers, sometimes deserved I am afraid, finally put me off the brand. I did consider a new M235i when i bought my current car but you know I am much happier I think with a more sedate image these days. And I don't think that is because I am older  - I think the attitude of the whole country to people that drive "nice" cars, and I by that i mean fast, possibly beautiful looking ,and perhaps also a bright colour, has changed.

As has, to be honest, the whole BMW owning experience.

They are good , but not as good as the dealers think they are. They are quick to bad mouth any other manufacturer and seem so surprised that you , the person with the money, would choose to go elsewhere.

Oh and on a straight comparison I would rather have an RS3 or Golf R than an M3/M4. They have useable power day in day out whereas the M3/4 , and some other performance cars, can't convert their 400/500 bhp into a decent driving experience.

All imho of course  :)

Well said Colin, I was just too lazy to type all that out.

No point having all the power if you cant use it.

Why would u get an M2? the interior is the same as a 135, it has no defining M features and no M Buttons...the interior leather is also using Dakota..

I seen many pics and reports and I am not impressed tbh.

I see your point. But every brand has their good and bad drivers unfortunately.

When I first got the m4 I was a bit worried after reading some comments from people but I can honestly say you can make pretty decent progress even in wet and cold conditions. Stay out of the last 30% of the throttle travel and be gradual with your power and you'll be fine. It's not the death trap some people have made it out to be and even with conservative use of the right foot it's quicker than most things on the road. Yes in these conditions it will never be as quick as RS3/golf r but that's a given, they are more point and squirt sort of cars whereas the m cars haven't been designed with that in mind.

The reason for the m2 is that I'm in the trade got offered the car from a customer who didn't want it, I've been offered a premium already.
And I wish that I never sold my 1m, so thought I'd have a play for a few months.
And Billy not sure what number mine is, but originally it was supposed to come on April

Just be careful bud, from what I seen so far its no different from the M135i which can be had for much much less! The Dakota leather was a bit of a shock if I am honest as well.

It doesn't even have the F8x S55 engine which is worrying considering its a full branded M car now.

The 1m shared the engine with the z4 35is with no changes whatsoever and it was loved

I've got customers already interested in the car peazzz, I'll have a little play and move it if I'm not impressed 👍
