I've been advised by two wheel manufacturers (Vossen and Vorsteiner) that an 8.5 will fit fine on the rear.

I just used a calculator, and it tells me there's 5mm less inner clearance, and they'll extend out a further 7mm.  Sounds perfect to me!

Ok i lied, i bave 8.5x19 et 47 all round. I just checked my invocie

The fronts sit in more than the backs but have 15/11mm spacers coming monday...

I did notice more understeer when i put these on until i fitted my springs yesterday...now the ride is totally transformmed and looks great!

Some springs lower the front 10mm more than the rear, moving the weight balance more to the front. This improve front grip but increases drag at high speeds. IMO, it is a trade-off that makes total sense to do it on the RS3.

These bad boys arrived yesterday.  Just waiting for springs and spacers!

Does anyone know if 255's will fit on the rears with an 8.5et45?

Its already tight with a 235 with a 30mm drop and 11mm hubcentrics.

Id keep the staggered sizes or go 235 all round imo..

Hmmm.  How does one rotate the tyres when they're staggered?  You can't really, can you?

No you cant rotate them when staggered, but staggered setup improves the car so much, I have gone back to my stocks..

selling my ultras as we speak. If you jack up the car, look at the back and the amount of space with the 235 / 8" fitted ;) then fit your others and you will see what I mean... there is not much clearance between the wheel and suspension mount at the rear..

BBS SX arrived this morning / next day delivery from wheelbase alloys in Oldham, great service and price, included bolts spigots and lockers - all in for £1600 on Michelin Pilot sport extra load. Transformed the handling and lack of road noise of the OEMs

Sneak peak!  I should have it back tomorrow and I'll get some better pics with the lowering springs and spacers installed.

P.S. anyone wanting to, a 255 will most certainly NOT fit in the rear.  I don't even think you could stretch it to 245!

Getting there. Slowly haha. Not an easy wheel to fit! Need bent valves to clear the caliper. Also, they won't fit on the hub without a spacer. So anyone wanting to run CVTs you'll need them!

Yellow calipers coming too

Well finally got it back. Although my sat nav doesn't work anymore post Revo tune for some reason. Get a "the navigation data are not enabled" error.

The sat nav is all good now.  Not sure what happened, but literally, one minute all of a sudden it showed up!

But now I have Revo tune + DSG issues!

You really need to have a custom DSG remap if you get a engine remap.. I say this out of experience, as the DSG box just becomes far too jerky and nearly rips your neck off!

Yup.  What peazz said!  It's jerky, overheats a little sooner.....just in general, it's not smooth.
