In got a big pet hair dryer.
Gets nice and hot and has 3 modes of power - would dry the car very quickly and get into all the books and crannys ( that normally sneak out once you take her for a spin ) the head on my dryer is thin and wide so get a really good burst from it.
I've got 5 dogs and clip them all myself ( saves me £25 per dog every 3 months ) and got the dryer off someone at work years ago cheap - il take a pic when I dig it out as there may be some on eBay going cheap !!

When the car still wet, spray on detailer and use a good quality microfibre towel to dry

Anything that involves putting pressure on the paintwork may leave some marks on the paint. Minimal contact is the best way, air is a great tool. If you have to use a towel instead of rubbing to dry, just place the towel on the panel and dab the towel and allow the fibres to pick up the water excess 🏻

This is interesting. I've been trying various methods of washing to avoid my very swirled black paintwork getting any worse, and would obviously like to avoid any swirls on the new black car when if arrives.
I've got to the point where the only pressure applied to the paint is during drying. I initially pat the car dry but still end wiping it towards the end. I never thought of using some sort of blower / dryer. Will this give a shiny finish like a towel dry does though? And is a pet dryer better than a normal hair dryer? The wife has got plenty of old dryers knocking about.

I've got an air blaster from cleanyourcar.co.uk both are good for getting the majority of the water off and great for getting rid of those dreaded drips from the seals with a blast. The finish isn't dependant on how wet/dry your car is but how well your correction work. For example my old wet sanded S3 would look shinier than anyone's car even when it was dirty because of the quality of the paintwork (even without protection). Your going to have to touch it at some point but as long as you keep it at a minimal then your taking the best precautions to protect your paintwork for a longer period of time.

As an imminent battleship purchaser who'd like to keep his undercoat nice and shiny does anyone have a recommendation for a good detailer in Hampshire? Thanks in advance.
