You need to get VCDS or find someone local to you with it so you can scan it and see what codes it throws up.

Yes mine has it at the moment!

Followed by ABS and ESC failure when the Autologic tool was plugged in.  Felt like power was cut down too - which could be normal.

Car is having new software applied to the whole car first, to see if it rectifies the issue.  Looks like Audi didn't bother to set the car up when it came to the UK.  Some of the units in the control units were in US, some language in Hungarian, some in UK.  A right mess - thanks Audi dealer for your continued failure to do your job properly.....

Will let you know the outcome....

Pturner3, surely Audi will point to your ABT map causing issue? Not saying that is right but it is likely to be what they say to void warranty and having to do anything on the car?

I've got the same issue....

Anyone know the complete list of instrument long codings so I can remove it via VAGCOM VCDS?

Hi, you have this issue?

Hi, yes I'm having the exact same issue on my TT RS. I'm wondering if you found out what it might be? No error comes up in vcds but a quick look at other threads leads me to believe it may be one of two things, the car is mapped so the ecu may not like something and is basically flagging up saying something's not right please get me looked at, or I'm wondering if its anything to do with the manual exhaust flap mod I've done. Although, if you're getting the same message without the flap mod then I guess that would rule that out.

I'm expecting an answer on this by next week, to be clear there is no problem with the cars performance or map in any other way. No other fault codes are logged or reported and seen in VCDS. All dashboard and FIS codings are correct.

Update this thread when I've got a resolution.

Is this just an MRC mapping issue then?

Without trawling TT-OC what remap do you have Toot?

It's an MRC map. The car seems unaffected in any other way. No fault codes logged, no CEL or anything. It's just this message which appears briefly when the ignition is turned on.

The guys at MRC don't seem to know what it is, nor did an Audi tech when I asked "off the record".

R32guy do you have an MRC map too? Who are you expecting an answer from?

I was going to go down the MRC route but went APR instead for the reason their maps have had a lot of R&D on them and with Audi's ECU's getting more and more complex I prefered the 'safe' route.

Keep us informed out of interest.

Likewise.....  That and they couldn't be arsed to reply to a phone call or email regarding having a map!!    Too concerned then that the after care wouldn't be there!

This doesn't surprise me, unfortunately. I have used MRC for a number of years now and always found their maps to be top notch, but the customer service is dire. It concerns me that they might not have got the newest ECUs on the TT RS/RS3 sorted as yet, and I sometimes wish I'd gone the APR route, but to be fair most tuners are having trouble of some sort on the 2.5T including Revo, MRC and APR.

I have to say I've always had great customer service from them, it will get sorted I'm sure. I would always sooner have a custom map for my engine than an off the shelf map.

Other tuners in the states seem to have had issues with the same feature...a couple of threads on Vortex about TTRS's.

Just a quick update on this, still not sure what's causing the error, but it can't be cleared with VCDS - nothing shows on a scan. It can, however, be cleared with VAS5054.
