Mmmm are you sure?
http://www.vmrwheels.eu/eu/V701/  a set of four wheels costs about 1200€ + shipment from Germany (approx 1000£ + shipment).

Feel free to contact them via mail, their customer service is awesome.

I can't find anything cheapest, HRE or any other forged wheel costs about 1000€ here in italy, ADV1 is the best on the market but a full set of 4 wheels (1 piece forged) shipped here costs about 5/7000€

I don't like OZ or BBS, they're too common on Audi and vw here in my country...

Postive Amenic as I also contacted VMR and was given a quote for wheels and shipping which turned out to be £1400-1500 including import duty and delivery. Advan's aren't as expensive as you appear to have been quoted but expensive enough. If you do go for them they have a massive wait list because they'll be a custom order on a 5x112 stud pattern. I was quoted anything between 8and 24 weeks delivery depending on when they could be bothered to make them and then £3,000 + delivery from Japan for Advan RSII's

Hi P_G, ADV1 is not the Advan brand from Japan.
Check this website http://www.adv1wheels.com , imho they have the best wheels on the market at the moment.
Forged wheels made in usa, if i'm not wrong, the shipment cost for a full set (usa-italy) is about 600€ plus taxes.

These are ADV 20" on an Audi RS5 (it's a friend of mine), they are gorgeous, but very very expensive.... :(

Which VMR model do you like?

In the Europe warehouse there are only the 710 and 701 models.

  :(

Naah, I wouldn't change the Rotors for anything else. I think they look perfect on a phantom black. And I have just had them all refurbished....love 'em.

Love the rotors,  Just dont love the fact they've gone and allowed them to be slapped onto every other Audi !

Personally the Ultraleggeras shown above would be my choice of wheel if i decide to change.

Yep, i love them, but i need a winter tyres set, so i'm searching for 4 x 19" wheels instead the 18" Audi original winter kit.
I don't like small wheels on my RS3 !!!! :)

In italy, we need winter tyres from 1 November to 15th April (if i'm not wrong..) for driving in highways....

The vmr, at the moment, are my first choice.

I've purchased x4 winter tyres :

235/35/19  Vredestein Wintrac Xtreme

and will have them fitted in October

Will have my 8x19" Audi OEM refurbished.

Guess I'll wait until summer to look for new rims.. those VMR look stunning.. is it safe to move away from ET-50 to a different offset..?

It kind of depends on the wheel choice and if your lowering the car at all,  Obviously if you are then it'll effect where the tyre sits in relation to the wheel arch amongst other things like brake clearance.

Guess it's something to worry from spring.  Intentions is to use my OEM 8x19" for winters then a new set for summer.

We're kinda restricted with rim size, if we intend to keep the 8x19 ET-50.  Majority available seem to be 8.5x19 ET-45.

I assume with 8.5J the fronts are bit wider ? and with the ET-45 offset, the tyres will stick out bit ?

Hi guys

Looking to buy winter tyres for the RS3 as the contis last year were pretty bad, especially around my estate and ended up paying 150 to get alloys sorted as partner lost the car on ice and slammed into a curb. Can someone suggest which ones are good and where I get some from please?
Thanks so much!

Are you planning on just putting them on your existing alloys?

Purchased x4:

They'll be fitted on my 19" OEM in october.  I'm having my RS3 detailed and protected for Winter.

Which winter rims are you using? Contacted my local dealer and Audi can provide x4 18" Dunlop winters with alloys.. but they cost £1500 inc. fitting.

I bought them when I bought the car knowing I would need winter tyres at some point. They aren't Audi, but they were from someone who had been using them on their RS3 for track days, TUV approived and all that. 18x8. I bought 4 new Goodyear Winters for less than £500, alloys cost me £500 so I'm happy, I'm sure I'll get my money back for the alloys when I come to sell

:)

They look good.  Love the gunmetal colour?

All these mods is all quite new to me.. so I'd rather stick with the OEM sizes as close as possible....

Mind you, the winter tyres I'm getting tyre profile will be identical (235/35/19).  At the mo' our summer tyres have 235/35/19 fronts and 225/35/19 rears?

Hope there wont be any performance & safety issues...
