Privacy glass.
Black styling pack.
Folding and gloss mirrors.
Cruise control.
Hold assist.

Pretty much all I need. Looking for different wheels hence leaving the standard ones on.

I absolutely love the colour if I'm honest. Looks great with the black pack......well in pictures anyway.

Me too - gives me a few to choose from in a couple of years time 

 

Its to be expected as its a great colour in the flesh .. and the colours used in brochures and promotional videos USUALLY are popular , although the Red RS3 may disprove that theory ? Not many people seem to have chosen that ?

You're right about the red ColinC2.  I almost got that but changed to blue at the last minute!

 

If I remember rightly, all the press cars for the Mk 1 were red?

I was at a German car show last Friday and there was a GOLF there in nardo grey to be fair I liked it liked it enough to love it I'm not sure but I think I could happily own one ( RS3 not a golf ) I'm only considering nardo grey to keep price down as spec I want is 46k already ideally I'd love merlin purple or Venetian

Hi SK-RS3.  Being No 1 Cheapskate here, I too considered going for Nando's grey for the same reason (for about three nanoseconds) - trouble is I to make it look acceptable it needs to have the black pack, pimpy windows, black or grey wheels and black mirrors, all of which add up to more than having a decent colour in the first place!  Red or blue look great without all the extra bits.  Purple would look amazing but would that need all the black bits too...?

My thinking was substitute the outta for inner nice stuff and thinks like dynamic plus 😃 cause I'm not often going to be looking at it I'm going to be driving it but I did spec tinted windows and black pack.
Just saving to put bigger deposit down to keep repayments low .

I think with Nardo, you NEED dark wheels, either grey or black.  As for size, I'm sticking with standard as I don't plan to go on track.  On a dry road there'll be plenty of grip anyway and on a wet road the wider tyres may actually generate less grip because there's less pressure to cut through water.  Unless you want black in which case you've got to have wider!

Another consideration is protection because the grey and black wheels are fancy diamond polished and are easier to damage and more expensive to fix.  

I see the Germans have an extra option that we don't have: wider with non-diamond sliver.

I don't like the rotors so won't be ordering one of the options.
I was thinking some black bbs ch-r's. I know they've probably been done to death but it's such a great design.

Good choice - I think they'd suit the car ok.  I might do something similar and put winter tyres on my rotors when the original tyres wear out and buy some new wheels ones for summer tyres.  By that time I'll have seen what your BBS wheels look like

I might amend the order and add the red calipers. Think they'd stand out a lot more behind the black wheels.

I thought that when I saw your spec but didn't want to help you spend more money! ;-)

 

The calipers will give a real visual lift to grey, white and black cars.  I quite like them on blue too but am too tight to spend the extra!

Yeah it's already quite expensive.....well that's putting it mildly. I think your right though. They've also ordered the car with the rock grey stitching. I wanted the red for the interior but that may have been my fault and they are putting it right.
