I too hated the quality of the Bose.....in fact I'm surprised they put their name to it. Talking to the guys that are tackling mine they did saya that is was the poor output of the Audi unit, lack of sub that caused the issues
Sounds fab install....I'm going for the boot build, never thought of the footwell for sub.....(not very GF friendly with Slipknot or some old Pantera on full whack although that is her gig too)
Yeh the door pillars me too with some additional tweeters..need to hear that high hat
What head unit you going to use to replace the current hurdy gurdy ?
My guys have recommended a company that do a set of 3 way components that are built in to a panel that fits into the bottom of door and does away with the door pocket
Yours sounds ace Princey......least I'll have an audio Ally if you come to any shows

I would not know if what you had was top of the range or an Alan Sugar Amstrad special. if the Bose was not good enough for you
then I cant wait to hear your set up !
May I ask how much all this is costing you Inc fitting ?
It used to be Sharp radios when I was young or if you were real flash....Pioneer or Kenwood !!!

Wow 5 figures....you do get what you pay for with an install and how it's fitted so it should be outstanding
I thought mine at 4500 was excessive so I don't feel so bad now lol

My 1st stereo was sharp cassette player (suppresors didn't work for a radio)in my Mk1 Escort 1300L twin choke running door speakers nicked from Rolls Royce where I served my 4 year sentence of machining boredom
