It's a trade off normally. Yellowstuffs on the my RS4 were superb, on the '3 they were awful, very noisy / grumbling on every application, as much dust as OEM if not more and stopping power was OK. Redstuff's less dust, starting to grumble now, better stopping than OEM but then that may be skewed by upgrading to 8 pot calipers and braided lines.
I had the front disc change done at around 20k miles, now coming to 60k I may change front discs and a new set of pads to see if that changes the characteristics I get now (used the original discs rather than a new set when I went 8 pot / Redstuffs)
Anyone got a spare set of new front discs they want to sell? Audi the robbing barstewards seemingly put the price up of them OEM discs by £80 per disc at the beginning of the year when all 8P's were out of warranty so no more cheap new discs for anyone I'm afraid.
What's the best price you can find for a pair of genuine disks now?
