I am currently driving an mk 2 3.2 v6 . Have had an engine remap, lowered millteck, s line body kit and all the rest and is very highly speced and I would like to think a fine example of a v6 tt. Over the years I have also got I to car detailing and have made the most out of my tt. I considered an m3 but seemed to mass produced, I love the rs4 but my brother on law has one and don't want to get the same car. I have liked the tyre for some time now but I also now have 2 children and whilst this is my second car it's still nice to keep your options open.

So after shopping I'm my head for a number of months I have reach a decision that I will buy am RS3 in the new year. I will be fussy as I am looking for the best I can get for about 29k buckets and Bose Are essential the rest can be retro fitted.

If anyone is looking to sell let me know.... Can't imagine that's many of you. Anyway I just want to say hello to you all ... This is the very start of my journey and looking forward to posting pics of my perfect RS3 (when I find it). I am prepared to wait .

I would ask for general pointers but you have all answered it many times already in the forum..... I have enjoyed being ok the ttoc but now I'm ready for the rs3oc

Hello Sawda,

First of all welcome to the forum.

when looking for an RS its pretty much the same as any other car,

the buckets are very few and far between but they can be found occasionally.

there have been a few issues brake squeals, and a few "recalls" that should have been done by previous owner ,and  one for brake over heating ..( holes drilled in inner wheel liner for more air)

I hope you find one soon as they are a awesome car

You're right looking for Bose.
Try playing "Pinball Wizard" from The Who "Tommy" at any serious volume (you'll be surprised how loud it goes) and your ears will bleed. It's a truly awesome sound system.
The cars not bad either.

PS Don't try this with a passenger..

Thanks royg and red14 for your warm welcome and those valuable pointers. Just got to sell the current cat but rest of funds are ready to go but going to bide my time for the right car.... I have enjoyed the ttoc but can't wait for more from the RS3OC. Bucket seems few and far between as you said which makes me want then more. To be honest I have sat in then into my brother In laws rs4 many times and they are a little annoying but read so many posts on.here than seem to admire them which I guess adds to the overall package

If anyone on the forum is looking to sell I would be extremely in the right car. They are only 750 out there so not expecting too much of a response but you never know.... Experience tells me people on enthusiast forums genralky love their cars more than normal so no doubt will get a great car.... Very exciting but I will be patient to get what I'm looking for.

Look for war to spending more time on the forums and getting know you all

I/ the wife had buckets on our / her S3

although they look really nice on any trip over an hour they get really uncomfy and you will get a flat arse and they a pain to get in and out of.

The standard seats are far better for long trips

I have no doubt you are right.... I struggle to get in and out of the rs4.... So why do I want those seats again? Lucky for me I will rarely drive over an hour.... Or maybe that's unlucky as I won't be able to enjoy that peach of engine for longer... I maybe tempted to change my mind... I'll give it a couple of months of searching...

One last question for all you guys.. Have you done any modifications or thinking of any... Or is it strictly oem for the RS3. Also are there any extras that you wish you had on your cars that you would try and get of you bought again?

There are a lot on here (MOST) that have been remapped mostly by (APR) that transforms the car , and makes it almost supercar fast !

Thinking a remap too.... I used amd tuning for my current car and was very happy with them... Looked at exhaust options but seems like you'll be shelling out a lot and the rs exhaust downturn appear to disappoint as standard... I must admit the remap and exhaust has transformed my current car and love every second of it, but my feeling is the remap and perhaps and air intake maybe all the RS3 needs for the average mortal

Hello and welcome.

Was considering selling mine but with under 9k on the clock I'm looking for more than 29k.

Good luck they are cracking cars!

Thanks CarrG... I would look a little higher for the right car or wait a couple of months for the additional funds... 9k is virtually brand new! Have been tempted to spend 30k plus but will see how it goes... Going to detail the tt ready for sale so who know I may get some extra funds

So I am going to try and take some better pics after a full detailing and with an slr, but for now here is a couple of the old girl. Isn't an rs but still sounds sweet.
