You really need to diet mate,,,,

Niel ,,, id be up for that drive , I for one wont be slagging you off.......................... perish the thought !

Thanks for your support Roy, I feel all warm inside now ;)

I wasn't pushing this drive specifically, just making a point that there are some nice drives down this way. I did the Ruthin castle drive and the North Wales roads were pretty good. But I'm sure there must be equally good roads in South Wales.
Likewise there are many good roads in the South of the country.
The Haynes motor museum is down near Yeovilton, that's an interesting place for petrol heads and could have been a focus point for a meet.

Current car: Tesla M3 Performance.

“Lightning" 2012 RS3, Ibis White (Sold).  “Bumblebee” 2018 S1 Competition, Vegas Yellow (Sold).  2020 TTRS mk3 Sport Edition (Sold).

Copied from Mac's first lake post

A run out for a few members stopping off for lunch.

Starting at:

9 am Sunday 7 /12/14

Lakeland Motor Museum
Old Blue Mill
Backbarrow
Ulverston
LA12 8TA

http://www.lakelandm...uk/location.php

Coffee and a bacon sandwich to start off the day if you wish!

Set off 9.30-10 am

http://www.kirkstonepassinn.com

The list:

The boring bit:

Please remember it's your driving license so drive within your own capabilities whilst remembering this is a public road and not a group race day.

Driving in a manner that causes a danger to yourself, members of the public or other AudiRS3OC will not be tolerated.

In my previous experience of road trips i've found that giving extra distance between you and the car in front not only reduces stone chips but allows you to enjoy some of the twistys without getting too close.

Timings provided are taken based on travelling at speed limits and we will wait at each check point until each member of the group arrives.

I wouldn't be able to make this as I will be going to an Audi dealer meet at Harrogate Audi.
Gutted, as this is the second Lakes Meet that I have missed due to having something else on the same day which was already booked well in advance.

Park up at a main dealer or drive around some of the nicest roads in the country stretching the RS's legs.... It's a tough choice ;)

If only it were that easy, I'm not even in the same country so if I took the day off I'd still be 3000+miles away.
