Due to the popularity and success of the 1st group buy I'm organising another one for any forum member who is interested in Uprated Propshaft bolts. Read the thread a little to understand what's what but basically we need 10 orders to get them at this price.

You pay Pat@redlinespeedworx.com via PayPal directly, he ships them to me, I ship them to you.

So heres the deal gents:

Price now agreed of $61.55 shipped to the UK for the upgraded bolt set found here:
http://store.redline...t_hardware_.htm

Email pat directly on pat@redlinespeedworx.com and make sure you put the subject as 'Propshaft HD Group Buy' Also please include your forum name so I can keep track of things and once you've placed your order, please PM me your postal address so that I can send them out to you once the land in the UK. Once we have 10 confimred solid orders Pat will ship them to me here at my work address.

Payment can be made by PayPal, details of which Pat will give to you and also supply you with an invoice.

I have no idea about the customs charges for this or how much it will cost me to ship them out but once I have this information, I may tap you up for some extra cash. I can't see it being much for either things so no panic!

The 2nd list

1. Roy G

The 1st list

1. Nobber - PM'd - Paid
2. A18KNY
3. Roy G - PM'd - Paid
4. red14 - PM'd - Paid
5. P_G
6. gussman - PM'd - Paid
7. martynrich67 - PM'd - Paid
8. Big Bear - PM'd - Paid
9. Fletch RS3 - PM'd - Paid
10. jonniebrads - PM'd - Paid
11. jmcnamee98 - PM'd - Paid
12. Boej007 - PM'd - Paid

If this all goes well then I will continue to do this for others after the first 10.

Original post:

After reading about Fletch's nightmare situation with his propshaft after using LC MikeYoung offered up a link to a company in the states who do an uprated set of bolts to help prevent the issue that Fletch had.

Link to parts: http://store.redline...t_hardware_.htm

I've been in touch with the owner Pat who has kindly offered to do us a group buy. The minimum order would be 10 sets and he'd send them to me for re-distribution to all. I'm more than willing to do this but understand there is an element of trust involved. I'll say it now, I'm an honest bloke, been in the car 'game' or 'scene' a long time, have the same user name on many many forums (rs246.com, editin38, audisport.net, vagoc, e90post, the list goes on!!) and used to actually admin/run/own a forum for a previous vehicle I owned.

I'm waiting on Pat to let me know the discounted pricing for numbers but if it's something you are interested in buying then I'd like to get a list started. So here goes:

Count me in, my car is standard power wise at the moment but would rather have uprated bolts, least this way id have more trust in the prop. My only question is with uprated bolts if there was a failure would Audi walk away from it ?

I think even Audi would have a hard time claiming that they won't replace your Haldex unit on your car because your propshaft or bolts should have exploded instead.

This also assumes that your average Audi tech knows what a standard propshaft bolt looks like!

I'm in. Now my other car has gone I am thinking evil thoughts about what to do to my RS. Mechanical stuff would be first on the list.

I cant see how they can walk away from it if you have made the car "stronger" the new bolts cannot make the car fail in any way surely .

All you have to say to them is because of their substandard bolts that they have used you actually tried to save  " them" money from protecting your car from a known Audi  weakness !

If you change the bolts wouldn't that then invalid the warranty?

Cant see how it could ,

Hopefully if they are changed then you wont need a warranty claim in the first place.....

I would only put these bolts on after a remap...at which point Audi will walk away anyway following a failure!

Standard cars & ttrs are snapping the bolts, they have got to be worth fitting!

Your right Steve anything from stock could invalidate the warranty, i think in the future we are gonna see more and more warranty rejections on modded cars.

Yes theres no point in fitting these unless your car is mapped.
