.........I have a bottle in the garage which I use to remove bird crap. Soak a piece of soft kitchen towel in it, place on bird crap & leave a good few mins & gently wipe.
If we are getting back on topic... I use the Meguirs stuff but it is not for cleaning a properly dirty car otherwise, yes, you will swirl it. I normally use it the day after a wash to remove water / rain spots etc. Used with a microfibre clotch it is supposed to lift the dirt away from the car and I have used it to good effect on very light dirt such as I had on my car at ADI on saturday after the long drive in the rain. Brought the car up spotless ready for the show. I will also add I only use it on the car as it has a coating of G-Techniq crystal serum.
This is what it does:

So the more modern waterless washes use surfactants and certain lubricants to encapsulate the dirt and coat the paint. The idea is, in conjunction with a plush towel, the liquid lifts the dirt gently, and the plush fibres accept the dirt thats no longer stuck to the paint within the fibres so as to not scratch. In reality, most people who use them will use a crap old towel or t shirt and scrub at it. Its horses for courses. Used properly, they are no worse than anything else you can buy in halfords, used poorly, well, total annihilation without question. As always its a matter of using a bit of common sense with them to get the best from them, but we live in a society where 95% of people cant get to work in the morning without hurting themselves in some way lol
God I love that car Mike,
wish I had seen it in the flesh last week, cant belive I missed it
You would have driven right passed it as soon as you came off the track mush.
......same here. I would use it more like a QD spray rather than say trying to clean it after a week of winter driving.
