Hi guys

Thinking of getting one of these is £175 about right on the price?

Get it done Ashy - got mine done at a little place just north of Bedford - £175 for the ARB and it was another £40 or so for fitting. I can look up where it was if you want - just off the A6.

Big drop in body flex - best cheap mod ever.

Just looked it up from my previous post - it was this lot. 20 minutes away for you mate.

Thanks Tony

I have a mate with a ramp in his garage so will get him to fit, is it worth doing the drop links as car has done 50k now?

Worth having a look at I would have thought. The ARB fitting is pretty straightforward - need to drop the exhaust. On the FL it took AKS twice as long as they thought - I got through half a pack of fags while they messed with it! For £40 quid or so I would leave it up to them tbh.

Either way for bang for the buck it is the best mod you can do.  It will stop a few rattles as a by product which is always nice - sorted my pan roof creaks until recently.

They did mine too + fitted the brakes supplied by others. Excellent experience.

It isn't night & day stuff but a useful tweak tbh. If you have got a pan roof you will certainly notice the difference.

Did you all just fit the rear, or did you fit a front one as well?

Rear only for me. If you do both the car is just stiffer and no help with under steer.

As the wise minds above say - rear only if you want to get it a bit more pointy.

My H&R rear ARB arrived today, being fitted next week. Looking forward to seeing the difference. I don't plan to add wheel spacers or lower the car at the moment. My daily is lowered and it scrapes on every speed bump. Don't fancy sacrificing the ride on the Audi.

Looks like I'm getting myself booked in with them next week to fit the H&R rear roll bar. Really intrigued to see how it feels afterwards

They are top lads to be honest.  The results will be subtle but the car will be a lot more direct in corners when pressing on.  Stops a lot of the pan roof creaks too!

Just make sure it is on before Nov 16th mate!  It made a big difference on the Bedford track.

Hi,

I had this fitted at AKS and a mag ride calibration done by Vag Car Coding earlier this week (on standard suspension).

The change is very noticeable and makes a huge difference.
Highly recommended both companies.
