Hi All,there’s been good few posts on this subject already and just wanna ask opinion on using this for my rusty rear hubs .... before attempting it ...don’t wanna make a hash ,also are the fronts just ally ...so am I good just to give good clean and polish up πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€ plus lastly anyone have the torque setting for the wheel nuts πŸ‘
There’s been a few that swear by using por 15 silver but have read on sum posts about it turning dodgy colour 😒😒

POR-15 will go a ghastly green colour so avoid.

Either spray them them with a POR silver (Frost online) as it doesn’t go green or save yourself the bother and buy some Brembo rear discs.

They are cheap and come pre coated in a nice dark grey.

Torque for the bolts is 120nm.

As Sean suggests get the coated Brembos, got some a few months back when mine were needing replaced. I treated my old hubs with Hammerite Kurust then painted silver. It never lasts long before the corrosion starts to appear again.

I did mine wither Hammerite smooth silver months ago and they still look brand new, no sign of rust appearing at all. Preparation is key to things like this.

Machine mart sell some great trolley jacks if you have one near you that is.

On my facelift I opted for these darker Brembo tears as they came in a darker grey finish that matches in better with gloss black wheels etc.

Sean is old skool - he uses what comes in the boot with a brick nicked from next door's drive as a safety measure. Proper northern style
