Hi guys looking for a Saloon RS3 and have come accros a perfect example of the FL RS3 Saloon I want. However, as the topic suggests it's written off (CAT S) and repaired.

There is no report, and the seller has said he has brought from auction and repaired. Yet to view but a very similar car is up for £6K more. There is also no logbook and he has told me he will revive it online and process the new owner during the sale.

Isit worth buying one for £37k? Is it the risk? Will my insurance be significantly higher?

Car spec, 2018: Pan-Roof/Black Optics pack/Sports Pack/DesignPack/Nappa Seats/Matrix LEDs.

I would like to hear everyones thoughts and feedback, as its alot of money to splash.

Look forward to hearing from everyone! Many thanks

This says it all 😳

A Cat S car is one which has sustained structural damage during a crash – think items such as chassis and suspension. ... Cat N classification encompasses all non-structural damage, such as lights, infotainment and heated seats.

As for the insurance you may have trouble there & if you had an accident/stolen they wouldn't be paying out twice if it was to be written off again.

Why would you want to drop 37k on something like that ?

Beg steal or borrow the extra and get one that’s straight.

Unless you plan on keeping it until it dies I really can’t see why it’s worth the hassle.

You’ve no idea how well / badly the repairs have been done.

I'm with Sean.....you could be buying a very expensive can off worms & down the line you may be lumber with a donkey.
