So i decided to make up my own design and cooler set up.

went with a large 600x300x100 cooler

 

heres some pics of the progress thus far...let me know what u guys think.

Looks spot on if you ask me mate, its a monster, should definitely keep temperatures down that's for sure  :up_it: . Prices for IC's for these cars are absolutely bonkers and don't warrant the price so good job for taking it upon yourself to fabricate your own. How much has this set you back if you don't mind me asking? I'll be doing mine in the near future before it gets mapped and this is one of the things on my to-do list.

looks similar to my welly cooler set up on my golf R and performed very well

Interested to compare logs for the iat's

I made one around 1 month ago

Ambient 23 degrees was 39 degrees max from memory on a pull

thanks bud, thatss definitely for sure! it costed about roughly $450 yo make up, but relative to the price of a stg3 cooler, this is way more affordable..awesome stuff, i just installed my boost controller now then off for a custom map.

its looking great!, also thats one good looking intake too, is it 4 inch or 3.5? are using the stock turbo inlet 3"?

thanks bud...its 4 inch and reduced with a silicon to stock inlet...

update on cooler temps, did some driving with the torque app and the obd dongle...to log intake temps...

Traffic driving 10deg above ambient
highway between 7-9 deg above ambient

highway with meth 1 below ambient going up 2 above ambient
