Afternoon !

A bit of a brain fart moment here but how do I remove the lower front grille in the pic? Im actually after removing the passenger side grill for an airbox mod like PPH & HG-motorsport use on their RS3's but I need this removing first and it doesn't seem to want to budge! Is it a case of just pulling in certain areas where the clips are or is it a front bumper off job?

Also, I fitted a forge air inlet pipe and DV but I cannot get the last bolt in as there is absolutely no access whatsoever and i'm thinking I may need to take the intake manifold off (5 bolts) which I don't have a problem with but my question is, is there a gasket behind that seals the unit and needs replacing if I take it off?

Thx in Advance !  :up_it:

The 4th bolt on the throttle body under the manifold is a right c**k to get too as I've done it a few times !

The top half of the manifold does have a gasket between it & the bottom half & yes it does need replacing mate.

Haha you're not joking! How did you get it back in Dell or did you take the manifold cover off too? There's no way I can get it back in so it needs to come off, I've tried everything. Even if you do get the bolt in, the next challenge is to get the torx 'bit' in which is also impossible.

I'll only be taking the top half off mate as that will be enough to access the last bolt I think. I'll just wait for Audi parts dept to open to order a new gasket, would rather buy OEM for this type of thing.

I don't suppose you know how the grill would come off either do you mate?

Much appreciated!

Rob.

I didn't get the 4th bolt out so took the top half of the manifold off instead when I upgraded the injectors & reglued the swirl flap screws mate.

Rob.

I used a Loctite which Jay used for his swirl flap screws.
