Mrc were all the rage on the old 5 pots and the b5 scene, however I haven't come across many threads of them for the 8p RS3..

There's a lot of APR related topics though...

Whats the general consensus of mrc on the 8p RS3 platform at say stage 2... Keen to hear of experiences

Sounds good to me.. Did you guys also have to change the spark plug variant? Or can OEM do the job consistently?

Hi Dell,

What does the + consist of? Are HPFP's needed when going stage 2?

Thanks

I just run the oem plugs & change them at 10k instead of 19k.

Stage 2 Normally intake mods, aftermarket intercooler.

Stage 2+ As stage 2 with downpipe change or decatted as mine is & upgrade HPFP.

Are there any recommended HPFP suppliers? and a guide price? APR list them as nigh on 2 grand, surely there must be cheaper about?

I used a Autotec HPFP internal but VIS also do one which are about £400.

Ah great thanks both.

I've just come across loba units too. Are they considered any good?

I think your find Loba are a reworked OEM Hitachi fuel pump just as APR are.

Ftting a Autotec or VIS you get the same outcome but at the fraction of the price.

The friend with the stage 3 has a Autotec fitted & running 525+ps.

I'm also Mrc stage2+, no complaints been 2 years now & car is running strong, 451bhp/768nm, running autotech hpfp internals & uprated ngk spark plugs.
