Hi hope everyone is keeping well in this currant climate

anyway my 2012 RS3 8p is in need of a new battery

now the original one that’s on the car is coded to the car so do I have to replace it with one that needs to be coded or not

im a bit stuck atm as some say if it don’t have stop/start it wouldn’t need coding

my car doesn’t have stop/start so what’s my options

I’ve replaced mine with a genuine one from TPS and there’s no coding what so ever, plug & play. I’ve disconnected mine numerous times again with the same outcome.
