Hello from sunny Cornwall,

Got mine almost a week ago. Loving the 5 cylinder engine. Sounds like a screaming banshee when I give it the beans (it's a 2018 car, with sports exhaust), hence the 26 mpg!

It probably looks nice for anyone living in New Zealand - it either has lots of grip or it makes me dizzy.

Welcome to the Catalunya Red Club.
Mine almost did a somersault off the lights the other day in the wet, so seeing one upside down is no surprise. Enjoy your car, they're brilliant.

Welcome along. A friendly place with lots of good advice and knowledge. 26mpg is pretty decent? I would check for an obstruction under the Go pedal 😂

I usually have a very delicate right foot. Today I averaged 35mpg going to and from work (27 miles each way) - 36 mpg in the morning and 34 mpg coming home.

That's certainly doable m8 but not much fun, heehee.
As soon as I get a clear bit of road my right foot hits the floor, there's a slight delay followed by an enormous car fart and then it's straight to hyper speed in no time.

Likewise Scott - even if you do that only a couple of times you will be looking at 24mpg at best.  The way I look at it is, if I want to swan about and get decent mpg numbers then I may as well take the Mrs 8P TDI.....

 hmmm... I am wondering if there is any problem with my RS3 or my right foot?

My average is 14 mpg (17 lit /100 km)  :89:

I love this car   :grey:

and

Tortoise99: Enjoy your car!  :up_it:

I think you are driving it right mate - I feel your pain and share your fun. Smiles per gallon is the only measure needed for us!

:8:  Thank's Evil Diesel. There is no pain  ;)  and a lot of fun  :m0165: and smiles  :D  .

I just want to encourage Tortoise99 to check for an obstruction under the Go pedal as StephenG mentioned

I am 10 days away from the 2 year aniversary of delivery of the replacement car and I was toying with the idea of putting together a total cost - I am not sure I want to go there - it is likely to spoil the last 2 years of my life laughing my arse off!

Hahahaha I know, I've only done bits and pieces, nothing like some of the guys on here but I love it! Fuel wise I'm lucky if I hit 25, normally its 18mpg. I think the next think on the to do list is new springs and then the reyland disks with new pads, but that'll be when these pads are worn now.
