Who did you use? Price? Is it worth it?

I'm considering getting mine done in the next couple of months. Seen a fair few recently getting it done on Facebook groups etc mileage usually between 50-75K.

Currently on 50K.

Thanks.

Had mine done at 42k miles. Didn’t look too bad tbh. MRC done mine but I’d probably use my local ‘go to garage ‘ next time as it’s not really a specialist thing. Obviously you need to know what your doing but you if your good on the tools you can do it yourself.

Thanks for pics.

Notice any improvement after or not really?

Do you remember a rough price for the work?

Where is your "go to" if you don't mind me asking Jay? I'm based in Kent too.

Not really as to be honest it’s not that bad, depends how you and previous owners have driven the car to be honest.

£1200 including new seals, map tweak and dyno time. £700 for the job itself inc parts.

Kent automotive In Maidstone. Very close with them now so they know me well. Awesome bunch.

Had mine done while getting new injectors. Never noticed much difference. Only really detrimental on N/A cars, forced induction not so much.

Did you go for the revised injectors for peace of mind or? How much did they cost mate?

MB.

I fitted the superseded injectors which are fitted to the 8v pfl while removing the swirl flap screws & rethread locking them.

The injectors @ £160+vat each your also need the top/bottom inlet manifold gaskets @ £25+vat each.

You won't need the injector repair kit as it come already on the new injectors.

Dell.

Can the swirl flap screws be easily enough removed to thread lock them?
I've heard a kit is required to do this as the core plugs need to be replaced.

Once you have the lower manifold off you just knock through the core plugs with a suitable punch & then one at a time remove & reLoctie the swirl flap screws,I just bought the new core plugs off eBay or you can reuse the originals if your careful when knocking them out.Dell.
