We have now developed a pop and bang map for the tt8j and RS3 8p, along with switching the pop and bangs on/off with the S button.

For me that is way too much! thankfully it is controlled by a switch which, if it were me, would be off.

I like the natural over-runs and on the FL they are fairly unpredictable which is quite fun but that racket is more for the Chav market imo.

Sorry, being diplomatic here, but not for me either.  I’m all for a bit more burble, but that's just got asbo written all over it.

All pops and bangs are tailored to suit the customer. Also the Joy's of having the map switching.

On a plus side bingo starts at 7pm tomorrow lol

Agree mate.

Every friggin Ford/Vauxhall etc now seems to have knobs purposely making them pop / bang and crack

It’s actually becoming more offensive to the public now especially in built up areas.

Was once the signature of the PFL engine has in my opinion become tiresome.

The warble / burble sound is plenty enough.

Better sounding than most engines costing a lot more.

Have you got a video of it on an actual 8P? That video looks like its on an 8V RS3 with those dials..

I agree - the natural 5 pot is a different beast to the crackle map 4 pot nonsense. A difference between the ignition sequence to just dumping fuel into the manifold into a shite exhaust.

It's on a TTRS 8j same engine and ECU as 8p

They've taken the dials from a Gen 2 RS3 then in that video as those are RS3 dials not TTrs, and also the steering wheel which is why I was asking mate because the gen 2 RS3 is alot louder then the 8P.

Yes I can see now why you would think that, you know I have worked on this car loads over the last year and never noticed lol.
