Hi,

Appear to have lost my main service schedule book. Have a duplicate on with stamps but not the main one.

What are the main advised servicing intervals? I realise it might vary on tuned cars etc - but as a average what are we looking at? What do you guys do?

I'm thinking:

Oil Service every 10K/12 Months?

Full Service (including Brake Fluid) every 20K/2 Years

Haldex Service + Filter every 20K?

S-Tronic Service?

Spark Plugs?

Diff Oil?

Anything I'm blatantly missing?

Cheers,

MB

Oil and full service sounds about the same as what I do,

I think Haldex and S-Tronic are 40k, after the issues with my 8p I’m doing them every 20k. Small price to pay to keep things ticking along smoothly.

Spark plugs are 19k by the book but I do mine yearly and use standard plugs.

There is no schedule for diff oils as they are “sealed for life” I did my 8p at 45k. The transfer box oil wasn’t looking very healthy. Did my 8V at 25k and the transfer box oil was discoloured. Both rear diff oils were still clean and golden.

Where are you guys buying the plugs from for a good price or are you just using Audi to purchase them? Mine aren't due yet but I've not had the car that long and for peace of mind I would like to change them even though they was changed at 33K i believe.

I've tried ebay but there isn't anywhere in the UK, only places like Latvia and Australia?

Also what size socket is it, 16mm?

Thanks!

Sorry to revive an old'ish thread  :up_it:

They have gone up in price over the past few years,I get mine from TPS.

I can't remember if it's 16mm or 18mm but I'll check for you once I get home mate.

Dell you are a champ! I did try to message you regarding this but it wouldn't let me.

Who are TPS? I've heard of them before on various forums including this one but I've searched the traders section to no avail.

Cheers mate

Rob.

TPS is the VAG trade parts outlet mate.

My PM service on here has been deleted/not available to me for some unknown reason?

Rob.

If you don't already have one your need a 200mm extension to go with the 16mm spark plug shocket mate.
