Hi, I just wanted to wish you all a Happy Christmas and say "Thank you" to the members who have contacted us for a car insurance quote during 2019. 

 
You've helped us beat our annual enquiry target and so many enthusiasts have saved money under our car clubs scheme as a result - we're genuinely grateful!
 
The year is not yet over and we'd love to quote you if you have car insurance that expires soon.

Not a very happy Christmas here mate - I have no idea how the insurance industry algorithms work but my experience in  2019 is moving from a massive high car theft area in North London to the middle of nowhere with no record of car crime at all only to see Esure (my current insurer) cancel the policy and your lads place a policy at a fifty percent increase over my London premium.  Thanks for that.

 

Having moved, a MoneySupermarket search is now offering a quote at about half of what I was paying in London (as you would expect) – I did reach out to your team on this and the response was pathetic.  Clearly there will be no renewal.

 

I know you are brokers to the real robber barons but, quite frankly, you can take your Happy Christmas and shove it. 

 

Sorry to be a bit unseasonal but, to be fair, I feel no need to apologise to pickpockets.

I have just re-read the post and it does seem a bit harsh but I stand by it. To put it into context all of the quotes I received were inflated and you matched the lowest at the time - it is clear that insurers are taking the pi*s when people are moving house.  You should stand up to them to be fair - they have inflated my premium by more than 100 percent on my latest quotes - pure theft.

 

It would also be nice if you would actually respond to some of the questions raised on your marketing posts - or do you actually not give a single f*ck what your customers think?

Hi, we do respond when we get notifications or spot comments. I'm sorry we couldn't help you on renewal and as you say we responded to the market. Did you give us another go once you'd got the cheaper quotes together. With proof of those quotes we'd have had the evidence we need to prove to insurers why we're quoting so far adrift from their ideal rate. Does that make sense?
