Noticed something odd with my glove box lamp this morning. The lamp comes on as it should when you open the glove box only stays on until the glove box door passes a certain point.

There's doesn't seem to be any other signs of anything being wrong with the glove box. The damper still works and there's not signs of anything being broken. A bit strange that the lamp goes off again though as I'd expect the switch to remain made once it passed a certain point.

Does any one have any experience with a similar issue? Or know how I can get to the switch it's self to see if it can be fixed?

Cheers. :)

Think mine does the same but I never go in there, so I've never investigated further.

Same. I only go in there to get my parking pass out or to remove my music storage. Just noticed it this morning so I was curious. Haha.

Yeah, it's an 8P.

Tried googling it yesterday. (Most of the results came back for broken hinges and faulty dampers though.) Some places seem to suggest that the switch is included in the damper unit. Don't know if that's correct though.

I had mine out many years ago & now fogotten how the light switch is fed.

Not had the chance yet, Dell. If it's not too bad this weekend I'll take a peek.
